It feeds the plant sugars to help ripen the buds. It also feeds the microbeasties in your organic soil. Just make sure its unsulphered molasses.

To mix it use about 1-2 tbsp per gallon of water and just shake the hell out of your jug. It takes a little to get it all to dissolve because its thick sticky shit. Or if you mix in a 5 gallon bucket or something similar to bubble, the just mix it good with a spoon. It'll take some mixing/shaking, but its good. DankFiend is correct.

My Babies/Ladies want 70 to 80 degree soil. So,.. that is the temp of the feeding water I give them, to assure no shock. I heat my water when I do the molasses mix, which dissolves quickly, the add to my plants. After stirring, I shake, all liquids, for my Babies, to add oxygen to boot.
Molasses, in itself, is an awesome gift for your plant. 98% of RIU Folks speak of using it only during blooming time. Kill that thought. Start from the baby, & you will do a LOT better.

Nancy, between you & I..., Shuuu. All the Master Gardeners was astounded when they mixed their Molasses with seaweed. There is something about the combo that kicks ass.

Just want to clear things up. I hear way too much disinformation about molasses on this site.

First off, Molasses does not sweeten and fatten buds, it can help but it will not directly make plants sweeter or fatter or stickier. All molasses does is feed microorganisms, and it helps increase the uptake of nutrients. It makes the nutrients more accessible to your plants. The simple sugars help with the nute uptake.

Molasses is sugar based, but that does not mean it will make your buds sweet and sticky. The sugar in molasses doesnt just sit in your buds, its for feeding microorganisms in your soil, or hydro res if you use subcultures.

Molasses also is an Excellent source of readily available trace elements and micro nutrients.

Healthy Plants grow big, juicy, sweet, sticky buds. If you need Molasses to help keep your plants healthy then use it because its good shit and its cheap! :bigjoint:

Its always good to understand what its for and why you would want to use it. :leaf:

Yeah that guy is wrong. It makes the buds smell and the taste sweeter. I did a side by side with the same strain and it was very noticeably sweeter then the one without. Not to mention the buds were fatter

Im wrong? Did you even read the post? Do you understand WHY it will make the buds fatter or sweeter? Or is your answer "It just does...."

Molasses isnt just magic stuff that makes buds fat and juicy. Its just the cheapest way to supply plants with a source of readily available trace elements and micro nutrients with a sugar based chalice to help with the uptake of all nutrients, and it feeds the microorganisms....:bigjoint:

Its not just magic stuff that guarantees big fat juicy buds.

Go get some molasses, put it in your bong and smoke it, or dip some bud in molasses and smoke it, when you finish hacking your lungs out from the disgusting burnt sugar you will realize that molasses does not "directly" fatten or sweeten buds. It helps keep the plants healthier, and healthy plants grow nice buds.
