Been at this stiff for a long time and just added my first does of molasses ever!! I am hoping it creates a slight sweet after taste, i was unaware that it actually increase the yield... kewl!!

You may be disappointed but molasses is not really used for making the plant taste any sweeter. It's for the nutrients & micro nutrients that it posses. My grandfather was using molasses for more than a 1/2 century with all types of plants in his gardens. Not once did he ever mention that it enhances taste or aroma. Personally I don't see a difference in taste. I think the taste thing is more of a myth

I would like to start out by saying: I'm fucking sick of the banner ads that show on TOP of the photos I'm trying to view. Second, I was considering molasses for my hydro but they say only use the tiniest amount so you don't grow algae and clog up your hydro pump and system. I will make sure to filter and boil my water before using molasses to avoid any bacterial contamination possible. I"m thinking like 1-2 teaspoons for 5 gallons of clean water.

I have been growing legal for almost a year now.Have had the priviledge of tasting buds grown from all over our state.Sorry guys but I think mollasses gives weed a dank taste and smell. Some really like it but I ain't one of them. There are real bud additives for girth.Like the green taste not covered or changed.Yea I preffer my shit over anything but any decent grower should. We put alot into making those buds!

Thanks Mookie,

I've been using carbo load for sometime now, any obvious difference to the two for any of you mollases users? (aside from price)?

Just use a table spoon of molasses for every gallon of water. Alot of the carbo loaders use molasses as a base. Molasses has lot of sugars and carbs. IT also contains some of the micronutes that your plant craves. Calcium Magnesium and iron all in small amounts. I also use molasses in a spray application and it seems to livein up the leaves a bit.

First water change (today), a week after I used Molasses for the 1st time...

Never again.. What a fkn mess!! And my PH shot way way up.. From 6.0 to 8.5!!

I have everything down to a weekly ritual and never have PH problems..

Bye Bye Molasses, I will stick to my carbo Load....

I tried it on my last grow and was pleasantly surprised.

A few weeks into flower I decided to give it a try. The next day or so, I could swear the buds on my Sour Diesel swelled overnight.

I will be using it again :bigjoint:
