As I was working today, I realized that MY feeding amount, and Yours, may be completely different. Even though I use 4 TBS per Gal (2 Ozs,) when "feeding" and Wet got it right, I do the following. Hot, dry, Texas soil will bead up when first applying water. I don't want my high dollar feed to run off. So I wet the soil first, then add the mix, but only about 1 quart to a 1 to 2 ft' tall Plant.. in the ground. In container, about 1/2 a quart, or less, then I flood with 1/2 to 1 gal. of regular water. Bigger plants, in ground, 5 gal. per every 2 days. The heat "transpiration" in Texas carries a toll on Plants. And container or ground, I do mean flood. What I want is the water to push all the gases out of the soil, if you see the air bubbles, you've hit your mark and as the water drains down, it causes a vaccum, that pulls in nice fresh oyxgen. Just mentally invision your root system, and give what she needs for 7 to 10 days. With the Molasses, I ALWAYS add seaweed, aleo vera, maybe some worm dirt, growing green, rose glo, all kinds of stuff. And, in ground, I feed further out each time, to make the roots seek & find. "Training the roots". I want to double speed grow the root system to allow double intake, etc.
We grew Ribbion Cane & white cane every year, growing up. It was our syrup we used for eating. We had no idea that it was good in the garden. I poke a hole in a bisquit, pour in some, let it set a couple minutes.... and a little on fried eggs is awesome. But we also raised out own veg., pork, beef, fish, cornmeal, and ate lots of Bull Frogs, Squirrel, etc. Hope this helped.
