Molasess in hydro?

I keep reading mixed opinions on this. I have always flushed with just water , this time I thought I would try using molasess to see how I like it. I have both flood/drain and DWC set-ups.What I have so far is this:
1-2 tbls per gal.
mix with warm water 1st to dissolve
just molasess and water last week or 2
Does this sound right??
Can molasess be used along with FoxFarm nutes??

Okay...thanks. The way I do it is working fine...just thought I'd try the molasess, but it doesn't seem like it would stay mixed in the hydro water...thats why I was asking...thanks again..peace

:bigjoint:hi...i used molasses in my hydro DWC sys and it is NOT good..it will fill ur tank with a lot of algea in no time..i even tried honey..same results..big mess..will make u unhook all ur system for a good WASH. stay away from sugars in ur hydro sys., if u must, use SWEET its gonna do the same job without the mess. cheers.:bigjoint::bigjoint:

Your wanting to increase the bud weight in hydro your going to want to look into C02.

It works.

GH Veg, GH Bloom, Hygrozyme, ph Down, Tap water.

Thats all that ever goes into my reservoirs and I have never had ANY res related problems.

But after 40 years of trying every which way under the sun I have found that KISS
works for me and my girls.

But hey, thats just me.

Thanks everyone. I wasn't trying to increase bud weight with molasess, I thought it sounded like a good way to flush without using grow shop flushes. For now I go down to 15% nutes for a week, then fresh water for last week, and my smoke is real nice. No nute taste, no crackling, no funny charcol ashes, everything is good. I'll wait till I'm growing in dirt to think about using molasess...thanks again

I use blackstrap molasses in my reservoir the last 4 weeks: 5ml/gallon. It increases density of the product.

I hear problems with algae or problems with gumming up the pumps, but i haven't run into this problem because I microwave the molasses in enough water that it turns into a thin liquid that disolves into the tank with no problem.

I highly recommend molasses

lol...everyone says something different...I am going to put it in a small DWC I have , it's only 4 gal. to see what it does. I can't clog up much there, it's only has air stones. I just set it up as kind of a experiment grow anyways...so I'll add molasess to the mix. Thanks..happy grow'in..see ya

if u put molasses in ur hydro/DWC sys. ull get lots of shit/algea in ur tank,but i had some light in my tank when that happened to me..so try a light tight reserv. might get better chances:hump::hump::hump:cheers
