Modern day blueberry

I loved the stuff years ago and then like that it was hard to find.
So I figured I’d get myself seeds and grow my own supply.

I’ve read here and there that what’s available to grow now doesn’t quite compare with the blue of old.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

In my opinion unless you have 10 year old beans or a cut from back then it just ain't anything like the beans I ran back in 2002. I've ran a lot of different blueberries and crosses but have found nothing like my old keeper cut from that 10 pack from dutch passion in 2002.

I've had tons of people tell me it's still out there but I had a very special pheno back then, it was straight smucker's grape jelly tasting, was super potent and was white from resin. Still to this day one of the best smokes I've ever had, grown or smoked.

Might not be the answer you are looking for, but my 2 cents
I popped 6 dj shorts blueberry seeds about a month ago and most of them were mutant, terrible vigor, or finicky as hell. Which I understand they don't like as much N as some varieties. I ended up with one decent female that would hardly branch out, so she went outside for the year. Outdoor always gets bushier.
These seeds couldn't be more than 8 years old. So as it's been documented, Dj shorts newer blueberry seeds just ain't the same as the old blue. With that being said, there is also still documented reports of fire being found in them. I'm on icmag also.

On a side note, dynasty has a well worked huckleberry and blue lines... a bunch of different types. If I wanted something blue that isn't a hard search I'd probably start looking at some of his crosses like huckleberry kush or blue heron.
