First time poster. I am currently awaiting a response to hear if i will receive an appointment with a Dr at GLMC , to be placed in the program so I can legally obtain meds to treat my IBS and chronic nausea from anxiety among other things. In the mean while i had a question that has been asked here countless times im sure. under the new mmpr , you can only get your meds from the very short list on th HC website ? any recommendations for a LP even though the list doesnt seem to promising?
Thanks in advance!

I would ask your doctor to split your dosage on multiple forms. For example if your doctor prescribes 5g a day, ask for 5 different 1g forms. This will allow you the flexibility of going to 5 different LPs. The reason for this is if you just had one 5g form, you only can go to one LP, and if you find you're not happy with that LP and want to switch, then you have to go back to the doctor and get a new form filled out.
Right now the pickings are slim. There are reviews posted on another thread. In the near future ( a couple months ) there should be more selection and feedback.

Thanks for the reply guys. I hope i get approved, my family dr will refer me but not perscribe because he doesnt know anything about cannabis. I have been combating anxiety for years but in the last couple years i have developed IBS and chronic nausea along as a result of the anxiety. I have been on meds from percocet and morphine for pain , to lorazapam for attacks , and seroquel for sleep. None of this has had any effect , with the exception of morphine numbing the pain. I DO NOT want to take morphine , or any other pills for that matter. i have been self medicating with Cannabis because it has been the only thing that has been able to give me relief, not only from one symptom , but nearly all. If approved by the dr at green leaf medical , i was planning on asking her if she could write a couple perscriptions for different LPs so i can figure which meds will work best for me. Thanks for the info! apologize for any spelling errors lol

I would go back to your family doctor and tell him that his ignorance is not acceptable. Tell him to do some research. There is ample information available.
The ignorance claim is bullshit!

I left him with a lot of research i prepared with links and articles, studies, related to my conditions etc and told him that cannabis is more effective then the many treatments we have tried and that have failed. He said "thats my opinion" but he agrees that we have exhausted all options and that if i say it helps then it helps. I hope he reads over the many documents i left him and re considers , but i am not going to continue to hassle him. The only thing i am concerned about with green leaf medical is the fact that it asks if " you have or have been treated for any of these medical conditions" out of the list i had selected depression , which i was treated for in the past , but not currently , or within the last year. I have read they do not like to prescribe to patients with depression as they feel it may increase the depression. I hope they understand i was treated for this in the past , and not now and reject me. also could be here say? I listed my medical condition as anxiety , nausea, ibs as those are the conditions that effect my every day life and cause me pain. but i also noted that cannabis has helped my depression in the past. Sad that we have to worry weather we will have access to the medications that help us get through the day.

http://donoharmclinic.com was my life saver. Good luck on treating your anxiety and IBS! I'm in the same boat.

I have a peace naturals review on here, and soon I will be making a Mettrum review as well.

You do not have to tell them anything regarding your medical condition - that's between you and your doctor. I'd be ripping that piece of paper up and starting again. Just because they ask you, doesn't mean you have to tell them. You sort of have to think of a LP as a pharmacist. They don't ask you why you want to take Tylenol,#3...it's kind of understood that you must have pain, but they certainly don't ask you if you've got a toothache or a back problems. Do not answer anything you are not comfortable answering. It's none of their business.

I actually checked out a few of your posts , particularly the review of PN which made me feel not so bad about some of the stories i have heard about LP's available. The meds you received are much better then what I can get my hands on way up here in the sticks of Northern BC. You are being treated for IBS and anxiety as well ? if you dont mind me asking. Also thanks for the clinic link ,.
