MMPR Grow op: Small Scale

By the way I don't have conformation if this is true or not I should know Monday. I don't have any clients under level 7 so we never got a letter from HC. If you got a letter to that effect, I can pass on the name of my Vault door guy to you he is in the GTA and is excellent and his price is the best I have found anywhere in Canada. The rub is these things cost a lot to ship, but other doors are much more. Level 8 door $3,500 and shipping or with shipping I need to check, I can send you the quote he sent me months ago as an example. So while we are talking doors there are two ways they connect, skirt or girdle, get the girdle it is better and worth the extra few dollars. I don't make anything on it I don't work that way, all I will do is refer people and that's all he does for me. I also work with a company that builds prefab vaults approved by HC and they are slick. A large level 11 was $25,000 delivered to BC from south USA.

When HC changed the QA rule to 1 QA per company we got 11 letters saying to bad for you another Toronto company got 40+. The eleven we got were 3 of ours and 9 from the other company that had QA's on our client contracts. Now you try to find 11 QA people to replace them. Now that's messed up. That's where we helped big and small to find new QA's and out of that we now offer recruiting services for QA's and key people.

Vault values even now. My guy???

Have I got a deal for you! bongsmilie

If you read back a few you will see I posted the general cost so those that are impacted by the change had a good idea of the real cost, not like the post after mine that said $12,000 for a door.

If you have any thing of value to add I'm sure we all would like to hear it?

Doors start at $3,200 and up.

What have you got to help out here?

I find it's always the people who have the least to lose or no skin in the game that make the most noise.

Precisely. Anyone who thought they could supply patients off these #s was fooling themselves. That's small, boutique supply.

I support small wannabes, but if you woke up and thought Health Canada would want to help you support less than 1000 patients when they have another company applying beside you who promises to care for 10,000 patients... it just isn't sensible this early in the game.
But they're not really caring for patients when they're growing shit now are they?Small scale is far better than acre sized plots as we have been shown.

Honest question: Have we been shown this?
Has there been a small LP under the new regulations who has grown product that was great and did not require irradiation?
Has any CC or MMAR grow had their product tested under the same restrictions as the MMPR and came up clean?

Of course we've seen that chocolate factory fail, but we're starting to see favourable results elsewhere.

You can drag a patient to the weed, but you can't make em buy the crap. Keep on dreamin LP's.....pray for legal.
Please keep on setting up more LP's because that will help them all fail lol. what a stupid business to put your eggs into. Dream on greed bags. dream on.
What was the stat on mmar patients purchasing from HC back a few years? 7% of all patients bought from PPS? Im going to love seeing all these LPs fight for 7%...thats when your going to see 3$ grams or atleast conroy wins a grand father program for mmar and LPs live on for the new batch of patients.

and then legalization occurs one wonderful day and the LPs already have production ready and they make money there.

I honestly fail to see the LPs losing. HC maybe, but the LPs can win if they're smart.

Everyone loves a train wreck and Tweed is a an easy target.

yes some of the LP's are doing well and have waiting lists, the point is that with QA issues HC is not going to move anyone forward till they get the QA sorted out, 3 failures from 13 LP's is a disaster as far as QA goes. That's why everyone should not be surprised when HC asks for all you SOP's and than some. HC will not license anyone till the current LP's get their act together or HC decides your SOP's and everything else is top quality. So people have more work in front of them.

A couple labs and Normal in Cal. did a ring test 2 years ago and found crap in most tested product and there was a recent test in the states where they tested compassion club product and 30% was contaminated.

the ring test was for labs testing for THC ect.

had a look and can't find it

Any patients from the MMAR have moved over to LP's that were buying under the old plan. 80% of the people under the MMAR are on disability pensions so can't afford to buy from current LP's that's why they should be able to grow. LP's will need to develop their own patients because none of the people covered by the conroy will ever be customers. So everyone can relax the only customers LP's will get are people who can afford to purchase from us. I think right now the big elephant in the room is cost. Why buy from an LP when the street is cheaper? Right now if you buy a 1/4 it's 400$ = $3.75 a gram vs LP's 6 to 14$ a gram. Pure economics, the race will be to the bottom line and customers win when that happens. Every new industry goes through an adjustment period and 3 months is not long enough to prove much of anything. The black market days of $4,000 a pound are long gone and the norm will be $1,000 which will drive LP's price down.

Do you really think think that patients growing their own wouldn't pass a test? I think anyone growing on a larger scale may have way more issues than the home growers garden. Will you admit that smaller gardens are more manageable than these football field sized fuck ups?

More manageable and more filled with mites.
With the right team, scaling to a large facility is reasonable. Starting there from the get-go is much more difficult.

Not unless they were scrubbing in and wearing full surgical garb every time they entered their garden. If you are growing with organic living soil, you would almost definitely fail the current LP testing standards with flying colors. Hopefully you didn't have a cold during those 8 weeks of flower and sneeze on a bud......

I think we can all agree that it is much easier to produce high quality medicine when growing in smaller batches. QA is also much easier to deal with when producing small manageable batches. That said, claiming that every basement grower can easily pass the same QA specs that the current LP's have to could not be farther from the truth. The medicine that LP's grow is being held to ridiculously strict standards, and you need to ensure a sterile environment to meet the criteria.

This was a very serious concern for sure.
We were confident that we could do it, but we knew it would have it's challenges.
