As far as I know, there is no one size fits all answer to that question. Health Canada assesses the proposed site based on many factors, the proximity of a dwelling is just one of them. Some current LPs have houses quite close to them.

i have heard the reply of 200 meters from more than one source..but MarijeJane is correct with the "no one size fits all answer." .....

The city that you are building in will have their own by laws regarding setbacks from roads, and neiboughring properties. As far as I know HC will not permit any dwelling or house that is attached to the facility, don't think that there is a min distance.

200-500 meters is allowance to the closest house, if you have houses that close , good chance youll be denied

Yup...and I like the BM ....see ya LP's.....the BM is gonna undercut ya every time....sucka's

MJ will share itself, but will bite anyone who tries to control it...they'll see....the hard way
Actually I don't believe the LP's have ever under cut BM prices... maybe they talked about it in a news article having a low price but none have ever opened with BM killer prices. Maybe the govt doesn't want the Black Market to disappear?
oh yeah.... cause they want more peeps in prison .... cause prisoners equal jobs

We've seen 400m in Ontario and I saw a letter stating that an applicant had to be 500m away.
@woodsmaneh! has fought this a number of times already though if I recall correctly.

Hi,
did the woodsman win his case, I heard HC told an applicant they would be licensed but had to vacate their residence at the 9 hectare location.

Hey Madtrapper. Not sure which street you walked up or what you put in your pipe.
The truth is, they're done licensing LP's until further notice.

Outta the 1000+ applicants that do not have a license, I wonder how many are jealous of the dispensaries in Vancouver, shipping country wide, buds, hash, oil, edibles, tincures, store fronts, no snow in the winter...
Defiantly an unfair advantage. All there product comes from the black/grey market, un tested, with who knows what pesticides/fungicides, and conditions the cannabis has been grown in. All for $10g, this government is making a mockery of its self. I would be fine with dispensaries, as long as they played by the same rules as LP's. Testing, security, record keeping, ect. I guarantee their prices would rise.

Definitely nice to live on the coast , love it ...There are a few dispensaries that do have there product tested regularly The dispensary for one, There only used to be 3 or 4 in Vancouver now I think it is upwards of 30 plus not sure about the rest of them , So many popping up lately, our neighbors in Washington have gone legal our local police force VPD enforce only when people complain. It appears anyone trying to open one up in RCMP Federal territory is doomed. I think as soon as liberals oust the zealots they will find themselves poised to step right in and I believe it is common sense that there will be rules to adhere to. I believe the main problem from Government viewpoint is that all of them are not for profit or non-profit, hence no tax dollars, fyi the most expensive bud on there menu is 8 dollars a gram down to 5. On there website, I believe there is a lab on the Island they use any one with a mmar or dpl or mmpr can use for testing cannabinoids ,pesticides, mould etc .Dana is our advocate for legalization in Canada and he runs the dispensary so We support him.

Honestly I personally do not wish to sell would rather just grow it is enough of a headache getting a licence to do just that I look forward to the day when that is not part of the MMPR mandate. Lets get growing Canada!
