Your lucky. They can hammer your ass if they want with legal firearms and a legal caregiver grow in the samehouse. It depends on if they want to get ya or not here in Mich. I know of legal growers with legal firearms in the house that like you..nothing happened...and also know of the same where they caught a felony. Typically..you can have one or the other but not both. Its a bad idea is what a cop (who grows btw) told me. That being said..I have a legal pistol and a legal grow. And fuk em. Iam rolling the dice.

I turned in my card. Keeping my guns. if all else fails, 80% kits are available.

Card app numbers arw actually down in Michigan. What it is..is alot of people said fuk it and didnt renew. I know a shit load of Caregivers that got sick of renewing and said fuk it. Some say they shut down...most didnt. Rolling the dice...knowing Michigan will prolly go rec legal within the next year or two. I also know of a grower with decent sized big plant 60 count full tilt grow with expired card. Cops smelled the smell busting the smack house across the street. They stopped over the next day. He let em in..showed them the grow with expired card..they said "get this renewed NOW". And said they would be checking up on him in a month. Came back..showed paperwork for renew..and they said have a good day!!!. No shit. Happened with an outdoor grower buddy of mine as well. Told him his zip tie wasnt gonna work for his fenced plot. Told him to put a real lock on it and they would be back (he had up to date card)..so it depends on the cops. Here in Flint...I think the cops are fairly used to mmj cards and growing and pretty easy going. But not all of em. There is a bad smack/crack problem here and busting up a grow is a frikin headache for them. They want you legal and secure (without guns) and going by the state law and they pretty much dont give a shit. Again..not all. Depends on the situation.

Sounds like a good cop. As for the "secure (without guns)" statement. Hahaha no such thing as security without guns. Especially where "drugs" are known to be. Large quantities of "drugs" are targets to certain types of people. Unguarded "drug" locations, are easy pickings. Bet your life, (literally) they will bring guns to the heist.

Ar500 makes some good body armor. If you feel uncomfortable around guns you could pick up a back and front plated vest for under $300. Keep it on all the time so you feel safe.

Ever heard of home invasions? I carry a .40 in my belt all day, and keep an AR on the couch. Unless Im in the garage, in which case it comes with me.

As far as needing a gun? God, I pray I never need it. Just like I hope I never need a fire extinguisher or a seatbelt, but like those things, the threats are real enough, and happen often enough to anyone, anywhere, that not having them is simply irresponsible.

Having a couple plinkers and a couple higher end guns, and reloading isnt so much a "need" per-se, as a want. It's challenging and fun. Also nice to know Im not the one to fuck with.

Guy just a few house down from me, had a small grow. Last month, someone busted in, shot his dog and shot him in the head-took everything they could. If you are one of those people that think guns are bad and would never need , nor want one-regardless of growing...you are naive.

Guns are the only TRUE equalizer.
