Mjmama's Outdoor Organic

Hi everyone, my name is Mjmama. I'm an outdoor organic grower in California. I'd like to share some of my soil and tea recipes here that I'll be using this year and some pics of what I have going so far.

I'm growing
Alien OG
Holy Grail Kush
Ken's GDP
Sour Diesel
Original Sour Diesel
818 Headband
Deadhead OG
SpaceBalls
Golden Gun

The last two are from a new breeder who is still private reserve, but I wouldn't be surprised if you see their stuff go big over the next couple of years. They are breeding with some amazing genetics. Everything but the SpaceBalls is already confirmed female.

I might also crack some seeds from GAS (Garden Ablaze Seeds). I have their Cherry Sherbet, Nana Pie, and Fruit Cake calling my name.

This is my Golden Gun. It's a cross of Double Glock and Hashberry. 2 very heavy indicas. I've grown her indoors twice now and she is a high yielding and potent strain. I can't wait to see what she can do outdoors.

Sprouted Seed Tea (SST)
One of my favorite recipes ever.

Mjmama's Super Enzyme Tea
1 . Rinse and soak 1/3 cup barley seeds in water for 8-10 hours.

2. Drain and discard water because the barley husks contain growth inhibitors. The barley shouldn't have started releasing her enzymes yet, so we won't lose any goodies by dumping the soak water.

3. Leave the seeds covered with wet hemp cloth or paper towel to sprout. Keep moist until their roots have grown as long as the seed itself; about a day or two. Warm temps are beneficial to sprouting and also to enzyme production.

4. Grind sprouted seeds with warm or room temp water in a blender until fully pulverized.

5. Add your blended seeds to 5 gallons of water.

This tea can be fed as often as you like, up until midway through flower. Then I recommend backing off and letting the ladies finish naturally.

PH and TEMPS for SST
**For optimal results, seeds should be soaked and sprouted in water that has a ph between 4.5 and 6.2. The temps should remain warm but never boiling. One study determined that a 10 degree increase in temps can result in 100% more enzyme production during sprouting. No matter what though, you will love the results you get from this tea.

Ready-To-Use "Fridge Ferts"
1/4 cup kelp
1/4 cup alfalfa
1/4 molasses
2 cups water

Simply add kelp meal and alfalfa meal to warm water and soak for a few hours to rehydrate and soften. Then add molasses, run it through the blender and it's ready to go. Keep this in your fridge to you have your own ready to use liquid ferts anytime you need them. Use 1-3 tbs per gallon of water. Get creative and add whatever amendments you want, using this same basic concept. Put those expensive nutrient companies out of business. This recipe can be used in veg and the first half of flowering.

*Coconut Cubes*
Coconut water is full of nutrients and beneficial enzymes, but the enzymes degrade really fast when exposed to air and high temps. Most coconut water on the market has been ruined by heat pasteurizing. For high quality, order raw coconut water or find fresh green coconuts at the market and freeze in ice cube trays to preserve. Freezing will not damage enzymes.

Nice line up. That Golden Gun is a beautiful, frosty lady. Your friend did a great job on that cross for sure. I just ordered some GAS seeds myself, though I can't grow right now so they are just for my personal seed bank. Would love to see some grown out as I can't seem to find much about them other than their Facebook page. Grabbed what singles were available from NGR, which were Master Cookies, New Jack City 3.0, and Nana Pie. Your plants are looking healthy, great info as well. Will be following this grow.

Yeah they're so new, there isn't much info out there for their strains yet. But the crosses all sound killer. Im a huge fan of cherry pie which they used for the male in all the crosses I have. I find it exciting to grow some stuff that everyone hasn't already ran and made knock offs. They have some good pics on their IG page too.

yea this looks great . nana pie? cool name ...
whats the cross in golden gun? quite the resin hog:)
The Golden Gun is Double Glock x Hashberry. She's getting the prime spot in my garden this year that gets the most light and always grows the biggest plants. She earned it. :)

Nana Pie is Strawberry Banana x Cherry Pie. I can't wait

Can't see those last pics. Says I do not have permission. Are they set to private? Just a heads up if you wanted people to be able to see them.

I'm not sure what's up. I loaded them exactly like I loadedthe first ones, using the websites uploader here, but they took forever to load and then didn't load right. Im pretty tech savy. The page here just wouldn't work yesterday.

I got my Bokashi compost starter/soil inoculant in the mail today. I'm planning to top dress with it and cover with compost and mulch. Then water it in with some of my homemade lactobacillus serum. I'll be making my own bokashi next time but for now life has been busy so I ordered some.

I'm super nervous today. My county is considering a ban on cultivation at their Board of Suporvisors meeting this morning. This day could change my entire life. I don't grow for a living, but I am 100% dependent in having consistant access to meds because of my Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't grow anymore. Wish me luck. We need to stand up for patient rights everywhere. While it's being legalized for recreational use, states have been simultaneously stripping rights from the med patients who need it most.

It's crazy how much our circumstances are alike. Though I was never able to legally grow. I have CVS as well and that's what I use medical cannabis for. I gave up growing as to not risk my family any longer when I'll be able to buy legally soon. I had a cut of Grapefruit Krush that is the best nausea medicine I've ever encountered and now I'm watching my jars slowly but surely empty out. Hopefully you don't have to stop. I know how important a steady supply of quality meds is for that illness. You have no quality of life without it. I was in the hospital several times a month before I started growing my own. Never want to see someone go through that if it's preventable. Good luck with the outcome of that meeting.

I'm sorry you suffer from CVS too. It's a brutal condition but much easier with consistent quality meds. Every single person I have ever known with CVS has turned to mmj for relief. There just isn't anything else that helps. Thanks for your comments here and making me feel welcomed.

There was an overwhelming vote against the cultivation ban this morning. I was very pleased by how many people came out in support of us med patients. Even the sheriff and the head board of supervisors seemed on our side. They decided to postpone the topic until after the 2016 vote and even then it sounded like they didn't favor a all out ban. Im so happy. Time for a celebratory smoke and some work in the garden!

Thanks Joe! I appreciate the kind words. My meds certainly make life better and growing is a huge part of my life too. I'm thrilled that our local government decided to uphold our rights. This is going to be a great year with killer soil and pre-tested genetics. Almost everything I'm running outdoors is a keeper from this winters indoor or something Ive loved growing before.

I spent the day today adding a few sq ft to my garden area. My raised planter is surrounded by cinder block. Today we moved the cinderblocks out a few feet on one side and added a bunch of fresh soil that I had mixed a few weeks ago. All in all we added a 10x4 strip to what I already had. Now I have more room to plant my Holy Grail Kush. Pics tomorrow as soon as
I get things cleaned up a little.
