MjMama's Backyard Grow

Hi I'm MjMama, a Norcal toker and grower. I'm growing Purple Diesel, Blue Dream, and Bubba Kush this season outdoors in a raised garden and on my patio in a few types of areation containers. I use Masters Pride organic soil, organic neem and BT bug sprays, and feed with various organic nute teas. So far I've been feeding these ladies a mild worm castings and molasses tea. Soon I'll bump it up to something a little stronger, but they seem happy for now. bongsmilie

These are 15 and 20 gallon containers my plants are in by the way.

I spent some time today prepping my holes for the plants that will go in the ground (The big purple diesel and the bubba Kush). The holes will be aprox 4x4 and 3 deep

I've been prepping all my holes. This one is 6x5 wide and 3-4 deep. Filled with 1/3 native soil, 1/3 bumper crop, and 1/3 potting soil left in the holes from last years grow. Someone came over and asked me "Are you planning to bury someone in the backyard?!" lol.

I'm surprised nobody has commented on this thread. These plants are huge for this early in the season. I've been growing a few years and never had this big of starts. Nobody has any questions, comments, or tips?

Thanks C! I was wondering when I'd find you here. :)

I'm still getting to know the forums here but I'll be sure to stop by the organics. I'm getting my yard moved around today to make more room for inground plants. Its a ton of work but I'm excited! I'll post pics when I have it all set up.

I started them in mid to late February under a 4 ft 4 bulb T5. As soon as the weather warmed up I started bringing them out during the day for true sun light. They liked the t5 but getting sun all day and the t5 at night made them take off.

I'm working on prepping this new plot. I'm adding a small wall around the garden to hold the soil back, digging the holes, and amending my soil. This area will hold 2 plants, and the raised bed in the background will hold 2 plants. The other 2 plants I have are still small and will stay in containers.

I now have metal tomato cages made of 4 inch screen on all 4 of my big plants and lst'ed them through the holes. I also transplanted the 1 ft purple diesel clones into 20 and 30 gallon containers. The 20 gallon is a camo pot and the 30 gallon is a dirtbag. Both fabric style aeration containers. I'll post more pics soon if anyone is interested. Comments, questions, and suggestions are welcome....
