Mixing White & Multi Spectrum Chip LEDs to Grow MedMan Silver Skunk BX1

WOW

I just budded out Shorty- 53gms

The pic shows 222, but I forgot to zero out the vessel

While final trimming I decided to try a bit of the triched out leaf bits

WOW

Considering that BMM has ~ 4xs as much (and the buds are much heavier), looks like I will easily hit 454

For you GWP guys, that's would be 1.25 gpw

And since the 2 plants were so physically different, it's the reason why using it as a measure of anything is meaningless

WOW...

I AM RIPPED

and we all know it's only gonna' get mo' betta from here

That first pic is all shake, lol....:bigjoint:

Not going to lie though, I would smoke that.

Though, I think your weight is a bit less, a lot of stem in those pics.

No that's all buds, completely trimmed

There was one piece of stem that I missed

Note the jar. Enlarge it and you will see

NBB- nothing but buds

lol

Yeah the pic sucked

Just took another hit from the trim that was in the bucket after jarring BMM

so still ripped

Found another 6" top bud that I had in a jar, probably from Shorty as her top bud snapped when I pulled her

Again, gpw is deceiving

One plant was 53 gms, the other 210

If both plants were same as the big one then right at 1 gpw

Also I was already a couple weeks into flower when I got it

A couple growers have commented vegging with led is amazing,

so that should up the ante

Using it for only a portion of the grow, no control group, etc. leaves us with more questions than answers. Will you be doing a full cycle grow soon, or ever? I am considering switching to LED, thought about buying the SPYDR1000 when it comes out, but haven't seen ANY documented full grows with their 600

Looking at the results...I'd say that the light should easily be gpw + capable.

Heavy strain..scrog with a full canopy..easy.

More I look it at it..I think it's the best implementation of small leds.pricey though..

They should let you keep it...posting a grow online is no small favor. Thanks pet..

I totally agree with the best implementation of small leds comment you made. It is a very versatile light. I want to get one or two and use them to vertically surround the plants with the bars running along the stems. One spydr on each side with two or three plants growing in the middle would be sweet. They even have an attachment to hang the Spydr that way.

Keep in mind Nick did not know me. All was based on trust from a few emails and lengthy conversation

Plus, he had no idea how much of a response he would get as a result

And mine was the first SPYDR where selecting one's own spectral blend was offered

I sold him on the idea that I could select diodes for a one light for both veg and flower, which should increase sales

I would make some adjustments to the spectrums- less blue, more WW- probably 10% 5000 + 80% 2700 + 10% unsure, maybe 730s

I sure hope all who inquire reference me

Maybe they will, then again, maybe they'll swap me out for a 1000
:hump:

So I'm watching Greengene's Garden grow video update

when it dawns on me (in fairness, I have been preoccupied with a head cold for 5 days), but none of you suggested it...

Why not move the plant under the SPYDR?

Be interesting to see what it can do at this late stage

so here are pics

Also, pics of BMM tiny root mass. Yes they're all dried out now, but it is obvious the root mass was small compared to the plant

Evidence of how efficient my High Performance Rez + Magnets + Flooming is

Very nice, now get a high yielding strain and grow it to it's full potential with the spydr so we can see what it can really do. I think it will kick ass

good idea

A friend who was growing in CA gifted me some high yielding seeds

He's been dying for me to pop them

The 'problem' is yield does not necessarily = best quality

and I'm not growing for ROI

plus it will b a stain I am unfamiliar growing

Still, based on BMM (~ 160gm dry), I think you get the idea

The other phenos of this Silver Skunk BX1 strain really packed on the trichs prior to this stage

I am hoping this will too, but it could be too late

Not a big deal, as she was more for seeds

It seems to be a good light for growing .
More grows will deliver experience with the light .
Get to know better the pro's and con's of it ...
Great work ,Pet !

(Too much blue power,Pet ....I'm betting that the taste and high are ..exceptional ....
You've 'sacrificed quantity over quality ,Pet.
But ....Time to enjoy the 'fruits' , now !

Ουκ εν τω πολλώ το εύ.

Cheers!

Thanks SDS

I didn't get the SPYDR until 2 weeks into 12/12 and the seeds were a back cross, hence the 2 highly different phenos

Had I gotten 2 of the larger pheno I would have hit 450g+

I agree that I overshot the blue, was cautious to make sure this version would be good for both veg and flower

I requested to replace 4 of the bars with ~ 90% 2700 + 10% ~ 4500

Just tarted sampling it this pas week.

A tiny amount goes a long way for me.

So far, 5 quarters sold at $15/g, so others like it too
