Mixing Chemicals Questions

Ok i have a problem combining chemicals. Here the chemicals i have, and how do i know how many parts to mix per gallon? Is there a math formula to solve this? Please tell me im not the only one having problems w/ this.

---Im using both A&B Sensi Bloom---

So far 1 week into bloom and i've just been feeding them--

sensibloom A- 1 tsp
sensibloom B- 1 tsp
big bud- 1.5 tsp
bud candy- 1.5 tsp

The soil plants get about 1/5 of a gallon everyday.

The DWC set up gets about 10 gallons every 6 days, with only 6 plants, in a 16 gallon setup.

Also what is parts per million (PPM) and how to measure it, and whats it used for?

Is there a different chemical/water ratio for soil/hydro?

Thanks to anyone who can help, later..

Well there is no set number for nutes. It is best to start at 1/8th or 1/4th strength and work your way up to full stregth. For switching from vegging to flower I think it is best to uses half veg formula and half bloom formula for 1st week then go up to full stregth bloom formula. Again there is no set number. I just switch to full bloom when my plants stopped reaching for the light and started flowering up which was almost 2 weeks after inducing flowering. Keep in mind this is hydro, the only way I know how to grow. Cant really say for soil.

The PPM means parts per million. Tells how much "junk" (nutes, metals) is in the water. The higher ppm will probably burn your plants. Not enough will slow the growth of your babies. I normally keep mine around 1300, again hydro. Doesn't specify what it is tho. best way to measure it is a meter which you can get for as low as 25 dollars (and up to 300 for the good ones).

Hope this helps and happy growing!

That sounds good.

I think people get a little hung up on the PPM deal, which is important, but I'm just not sure there's one right answer for every single grow out there.

To me, I think you just need to think about how high a nute level you have in your grow and how that affects the plants you're growing.

In soil, you need less and in hydro you need more. The soil holds onto a lot of nutes while the hydro washes through and can be changed a bit more.

And as with anything, fewer nutes is always better than too many nutes. YOU can always add more to your grow, but it's so much harder to take the nutes out.

Watching your plants is the best advice, right? If they aren't happy, then they will show you. And even a fancy meter isn't as good as just looking at your plants.
