Mixed bulbs in DE CMH

So I have a dimlux 630w DE CMH light. Im
Currently running two Argo 3100k bulbs.

My question is can I have 1 3k bulb and 1 4k bulb to create more blue spectrum?

Cheers!

I can't see why not, I've a bunch of lights with mixed kelvin to get more red/blue.

I'm told 3k and 5k make 4k so in theory it should work?
It’s a double ended lamp so two bulbs in one fixture. So that’s why I’m hesitant but in plain sight seems fine. I’ve been reading the blue spectrum is the first to go on CMH bulbs and noticed the internode lengths seem bigger and veg isn’t as fast.

£123 a pop for a bulb!!

Me thinks it’s fine to mix things up. Running a couple different bulbs is not all that adventurous. Also probably just easier to leave “as is”, you should be very good in blues.

Blues should be fine as u mentioned but was reading they are the first to fade in CMH bulbs. These bulbs have done about 12k hrs.

Reason being I want more blue is that when I grew under a 600w MH all flower the buds smelt better and gave a more intense high. Researching I’ve found blue light to stimulate terpene/resin production

Nice!! Hasn’t blown up for you so that’s a good sign haha

Do you flower with that light or just a veg tent?

blue light stimulating resin? bro? where have you read that, blue light makes smaller cells, so shorter plants,

i think what increased your terpene/resin is quantity of light not spectrum, hell they even still debating if uvb is doing something with resin levels, we know resin is for protection against the sun/other damaging factors , therefore its logic that uvb would make more resinated plants, but there is still research needed

in led lighting we add blue for short internodes and bushy plants, and red because red is more phothosinteticly active than blue, so our fixture is more efficient, red promotes cell elongation

How do we know resin is for protection from the sun, said who?

What about the 10,000s of plants over the planet that don't have resin what's their trick lol.

That sounds like some bro science facts there?

Just as a cactus grows thorns to protect itself, the cannabis plant produces resin to do the very same. From pests to herbivores to UV sunlight, resin acts as a deterrent network that's capable of ensuring the cannabis plant remains healthy.
jut google bro, its not bro science

THC. This chemical composition is found in the resin from cannabis plants which serves the purpose of protecting the buds from UV-B rays. It’s been proven that plants grown at higher altitudes show much more THC; sativa plants from Ecuador or plants high in the mountains of India have more THC than those grown much lower down; the difference in these crops is, apart from air pressure, the quantity of UV-B rays.

Ive seen a few write ups about it years ago. Here’s a more modern one I’ve found.

Also cmh does emit some uvb
