Mix the lights?!

Mixing in one of your 6500k with the rest is cool, gives the plants more spectrum of light to use. As for increasing the yield, that's more environment and strain dependent.

I should have explained myself better..! u should gugle this for further info

blue light or cool white at about 6500K (kelvin) or the led or metal halide equivalent,

grows or encourages growth thats squat and short with very short shitty stems like a cabbage

many noobs here have this issue, in the biz its politely termed as 'short internodes'

the opposite where one grows out a vegging plant with an hps or light in the 2700 kelvin, sold as warm white or variations

does the opposite and creates a very stretched plant, in th biz it called 'stretched to fuck' where the gap between each leaf or internode

are very far apart indeed,

the deal is to have a balance of different light colors or temps so the plant grows out with internodes that at maturity are

roughly equally apart, with consideration to the plants height and girth

come budding time just go 100% warm white or 2700k

read a wiki on kelvin oe color temperature is a good idea, you will only have to do it once

good luck 'B'(v)

i personally dont think mixing lights is a good idea and imo gives u a slower flower time and higher risk of accidently re-vegging.... again this is just my opinion tho i dont have any proof or science behind it... 2700k is meant for flowering 6500k is meant for vegging, why fix it if its not broke... id get more 2700k lights

because imvho it's best to try to mimic the suns output as much as possible....so you go hps/mh throughout the entire grow, t-5's on seeedlings,1-2 week veggin is AWESOME, t-5's as supplimental lighting is wonderful also imho. I have never been happier!

not at all my brother.......i started out like you.........aaa t-5's 002.JPGlights 001.JPG I took an old hippies advice here and watched craigslist for hid equipment, i spent 250.00 cash on everything you saw for hid's in those pics. T-5's produce wonderful meds in fact riddlem3 here uses them ALL through his grows to great success, i just found they took longer to get mature under t-5's and the t-5's didint hit the lower canopy like i needed.

Any way you can mount those two fixtures at an angle in the upper corners? Seems like the light angles would be more efficient, it seems like the outside beams on both fixtures only hits the wall....
