they were just cut, your treating soil ??????its called diatomaceous earth, comes in a powder, its from diatomite, its a rock thats easily crumbled into powder, mix that stuff in with that top 1-2" of your soil. all the mites will get cut to their deaths when they walk on it which they will. kills alot of different bugs.
yeh but ive found it to be quite good with killing mites aswell. its the best organic way to go, not way u can harm the plant. and yes if its only a few u can wash them off, if they didnt lay eggs. check the soil with a magnify glass to see if u have more.they were just cut, your treating soil ??????
No treat the plants and DE works better for gnats not mites.
You should be able to wash away the mites and eggs at this point

EDIT: Ive recently had gnats and mites in my soil and DE killed them both. and i had hundreds of mites.

ya i know i forgot to mention that the soil has to be dry.if you check the instructions moisture has a negative impact on DE's effectiveness... just so ya know.
