Missouri just sentenced an old man to 10 years for growing.

I don't like states that have no tolerance for weed. This case is complicated a little bit since he was a felon and they found guns in the home. Sounds like they worked out a deal where they dropped those charges and he agreed not to appeal, because he might have gotten some leniency on the weed, but I bet they'd have laid down the hammer on the gun charges. It might have been the best outcome for him under the circumstances.

not ppl that grew.
the law should differentiate between personal small grow vs commercial organized crime greatly then. he already did some time so why not release him? It seems to me that ppl that are locked up are consequently being denied stuff to their benefit by the state.

Well my friends grow wasn't personal. They went federal with the charges and put him in the colorado prison system. So now he can look out his cell window (if he has one) and probably see a commercial grow in the distance.

The law is wrong.

It doesn't matter if you grow one scraggly plant or a million plants.

I have a buddy that got 25 years for growing in Missouri. He had no priors of any kind. They nailed him to a wall. Now he is doing his time in Colorado where he can probably look out the cell window (if they have one) and see a dispensary or a warehouse grow in the distance.
dam that's tough someone I no here in maine got 22 yrs for killing someone while protecting a 300 plant outdoor grow. seems like a slap on the wrist now. if it was a fed case Missouri would have no say in the sentence?

yep, even the judges hands were tied by federal mandatory minimums.
I find that most {red states}anti pot have more strict laws than the feds mandatory mins. shit first timer 150 plants under fed 18-26 months.try that in a red state forget it 5-10 yrs.

Yeah back then 14 grams possession was a felony in Missouri. Now they decriminalized possession of up to an ounce.

yeah I am glad to be in Colorado. I had a county police officer tell me that if he pulled me over and it looked like I had 5 pounds of less he wouldn't say anything if I wasn't stoned. That was without a key badge, with that I can carry as much as I want.

I wonder what it would mean to the rest of the world if all the states if the US would decriminalize cannabis alltogether?

I would have never turned down my right to appeal!!! They would have to prove that I was selling weed to make that shit stick!!! The feds play a dirty game by making you think that they gave you the best deal possible
