Mirrors

Im curious...does anyone just use mirrors instead of white surfaces?

This has to work...or not?

"Supposedly" mirrors reflect only about 30% of the light, people prefer to use white paint which gets around 60%... personally I think mirrors would reflect more, but that's what the rumor/myth says. Whether it is true or not, you'd have to ask someone who really has used a light meter to measure a mirrors reflection personally.

Mirrors don't reflect light well at all. If you're familiar with a bit of science, the polar ice caps{white} are melting and are hugely important when it comes to reflecting the suns rays off of the earth to keep it cool. They melt increasing the water which absorbs heat and decreasing the white ice/snow to reflect it. Flat white paint can be bought cheap and though I don't know your specific situation I would think its much easier and probably cheaper as well to apply the paint to your grow room.

I agree with SGT. Mirrors seem like they would work and yes i tried them in a prototype case but the heat from them was to much.
