Miracle Grow

no miracle grow sux..my plants are big despite of MG in veg youl be fine,,just add water add moleasses. In flowering you might run into issues with it draining properly, and u wont know how much nitrogen to add since it has time release nutes in it,,i switched to promix and my plants are doing a zillion times better,,i wouldnt cheap out on soil,i would get some promix,,or something without nutes in it.flush your plant,and trnasplant i say

didnt have a single problem. obviously you dont use just miracle grow. you have to add pearlite but i say that for every soil. why wouldnt you add something for drainage. the time release nutes dont ACTUALLY last 3 months. considering you flush water through your plants consistently they dont time release very well. I fed my plants after 1 month in miracle grow soil and didnt have any problems with nitrogen. I actually just switched to black gold and i think it might be worse. after 4 days in the soil i started to notice nitro problems. so now today Im feeding. never had problems till i switched.

the reason people "cheap out" is because promix isnt widely available as well as fox farm. a lot of places locally dont always have it. it usually requires finding a really good nursery or a grow shop which a lot of people dont have within close distances of their homes. so its not really cheaping out. its just whats available and convenient.

I completley agree, Im using a 60% miracle grow 40% Hydronex... i think thats what its called. And its working really great for me, I also just gave it a double dose of Nutes this time. There week nutes tho, Miracle grow all purpose shit. Thats also working great. So i dunno. But. working great for me.

Thanx for the info on mg, i had to transplant my plants out of SAME container, and had to put them right back into mg, the roots were huge.
So i have like a 50/50 ratio of new mg and old(aroung outside edge of tranplanted plant, etc...)

My question is how long should i wait before i start feeding nutes? Like you said, I also waited a month(before i had to transplant)And myplants didnt seem to have any problems with nutes. Would 2 weeks b to soon to start with em?

you should start adding nutes 2nd week of flowering

im glad to see some good pics using mg moisture control because thats all i have to use and im happy to see some nice plants grown in it.i was planning on waiting a month and a half or maybe a little more or less before i started using any nutes at all. how much less do u have to water with mg moisture control?

buy a moisture meter from ebay its like 4 bucks,that u dont have to guess if yr plants need to be watered,,or if therre overwatered 4 bucks=peace of mind i think its worth it

pics of my plants today. used miracle grow until about 3 days ago when i transplanted but wishing i would have just stuck with the miracle grow. anyways, doesnt matter now. but contrary to everyones comments you can grow good looking plants with miracle grow if you arent a complete dunce.

(note: in some photos they look light green due to flash and MH light combination. they arent actually that color. hah)

or fred meyer's and most other gardening stores sell them for about $5-$7 and you dont have to pay shipping and you can have it immediately without waiting, but i agree. buy a moisture metere and a pH meter. probe everyday!

All i do is follow the directions on the food, and im not having a problem. i'd say wait 2 weeks into grow and give it like 1/8 strength of nutes with watering. And ween it onto the nutes. dont listen to floyd. You can definatley give them nutes during Veg. Make sure also its something high in nitrogen and and has pretty good Potassium. But very little phospate. And something was saying something about Urea killing the buds? Cause my food has 12% Urea Nitrogen.... But this is just for Veg. Not for Flowering. Is someone could Enlighten me on Urea Nitrogen that actually knows What there talking about? Id Appreciate it. Thanx

well i didnt add 1 thing during veg did u see my mammoth plant?? so sure dont listen to me i dotn know what im doing,il just yield 3-4 oz's off my girl peace

NEVER USE MIRCALE GROW!!
To all my fellow growers. Never use anthing but your own soil mix. Wal-mart sells Super Soil (basic soil) they also sell perlite (white balls for spacing). I went to my local pet supply store and got bat guano (10-3-5) then i got earth worm castings (12-6-3) for a 100% soil mix you need a mixture of 50-60% super soil, 15-25% perlite, 15% worm casting mixed with bat guano, then i got 10% sand (also sold at pet shop) you could use concret mix, but sand is prefured, and oh yeah! dont use beach sand, it contains salts....always spray your roots with nutes when you transpot your stuff.
Just a thought, G'luck
P.S. I also had like less than 5% pre-mix (found this at Wal-mart, but then i couldn't find it anywhere but Pet Stop)
And if the (%) thing throws you off, den start off with cups (out of ten = 100%)

you said never use miracle grow but then you didnt give any fact or reasoning for why not to use it. you will find a lot of people on the forums that are using it without any issues. plenty of people dont want to run all around town getting 20 things to make a mixture of their own soil. thats fine. also not all people have these items readily available in their towns like its been stated before.

everyone that says dont use miracle grow only says it because it feeds for up to 3 months but ive seen plenty of plants coming out just fine using it and really the only way the nutes in miracle grow soil are going to mess up your plants is if you add more nutes within the first month of planting them.

Id like to see some info backing up this whole "never use miracle grow" theory because Im seeing a shit ton of plants that look pretty healthy coming out of miracle grow soil.

i used miracle grow potting mix and my sprouts turned out good one of them was a foot tall and perfectly green but then i was put on house arrest so i gave them to a friend and he put them in the woods and someone stole them.

Damn, this is a hot topic now huh? Anyway, I brought up the Urea idea, but I only read it on the internet from a possibly un-reliable source. So maybe a reliable source on the internet could shed some light, I'll get back to you on that. After reading everyones post, I really feel that as long as you correctly use miracle grow products you will be fine. Now I've never grown before so I can't say from experience, but as long as the soil has all of the necessary macro and micro nutrients in it, regardless of what name is on the nute can, wont everything be fine? MG doesn't have all of these ingredients, but used in conjunction with other additives it can meet par. Also, weed is called weed for a reason.. right? Grows crazy! just kidding, but Thanks for all of your input everyone!

Miracle Grow is not for MJ, I've came across a couple kids around tha neightborhood, shit actually tastes like MG. If you go cheep you grow cheep. Ive never smoked anything that tasted like miracle grow. maybe you're fucking high and paranoid that the shit is gunna taste like MG.

so.... if you put bat shit in your dirt then your weed would taste like bat shit. and if you put worm shit in your dirt then it would taste like worm shit. and what about all the other nutes you add into the soil, they might not be miracle grow but they are STILL chemicals and could still produce a chemical taste. youll have your opinion and Ill have mine. thats fine. but honestly you cant sit here and say that weeds gunna taste like miracle grow but yet theres people putting weirder shit in their soil and adding tons of different nutrients that are EXACTLY the same, just more expensive and maybe a little more organic. but not much. its all chemicals. its all unnatural. if you want natural..stick the shit outside and dont touch it till it flowers. then you can smoke some spiders with your schwag!!

btw, I have access to dispensaries, so I dont smoke schwag. its all strains and I can take my pick thank you very much!

I use a 1/8 tsp of it everytime i water, once a week, and my plants are doing great on it, however, when i get to bloomin i am gonna use some stuff i ordered off the net

not fuckin high sweety, jus came across kids that obviously didnt know how to grow...turns out MG, works, but when I loaded that shit into the volcano..tasted like str8 MG. Had to change my volc bag and all my screens to rid its hidious taste...but then again it was grown outside..vote no for miracle grow! (take it easy)
