Miracle grow perlite

I just got some perlite but I know miracle Gro isn’t the best option but it’s the only option I have other than ordering it online but I was wondering as bad as this product is could I rinse the perlite before I add it to soil? Or would the fertilizer on the perlite still be fused even if I rinse?

I'd just use it as is. It is just regular perlite in a Miracle Grow bag. I bought a huge bag from Amazon, it worked out super cheap and lasts for years. If you don't want to buy it online. Look up local builder's merchants or DIY places, it is used as cavity wall insulation and is really cheap.

Used it many times and never rinsed. I typically wait for fall and get the big bags on sale. Scooped up the big bags of perlite for 6$ at Menards (they did have taped up holes but can’t beat the price

I've only used the MG perlite once, way back in my second grow, but don't recall any issues from it. If anything, my plants stayed nice and green longer than they did on my first run.

Why are people afraid of miracle grow Perlite??? It's perlite.
Not sure if its still is, but unless labeled to be without it, MG perlite used to have time release nutes sprayed on it. Often the concentrations and time release "schedule" of Miracle grow products isnt ideal for cannabis.

That being said, some folks use it without issue and some have terrible results they blame on the nutes. Id suspect some strains tolerate it better than others. If youre organic like me you might be wary of anything added to your amendments.

It has a tiny amount of osmocote mixed with it, and I mean a tiny amount. It will be fine to use. Usually it has been handled so roughly that it is dust is the only thing wrong it.

This is the second MG perlite thread that is over two years old that you bumped today. MG perlite is shit, but it's not going to kill your plants. Bumping one old thread would have been fine if you really couldn't control the urge to bump one, but why bump two old threads?
