The fastfood of soil, isn't a bad thing considering you use it for a base for mixes or you use it straight. As Mg, depending on the kind can make a big difference.

For the new guy, Mg off-hand, may not be the best stuff to use as this stuff tends to burn the plant. Then, again, for those who have worked with this stuff, its a breeze.

I give it 50/50 - dependent on the grower.

I used MG seed starter its high in phos and my seedlings did great but I do agree you really have to watch the ph or your going to get nute burn.
