Miracle-Gro Potting Mix?

Is miracle grow pottiing mix okay for a 2 week old plant?

i wouldnt go with mirical grow anything. they seem to destroy cannabis grows with there strong nutes an stuff

it will work...its better to flush out the soil first then put the plant in there...if it shows any sign of nute burn u can always flush

The potting mix is okay for right now, but if you are going to continue to use it, be sure to mix in some perlite to aerate the soil a bit.

Wouldn't flushing MG soil just release more nuits since their time release?

i dunno ..i flushed mine out then put the plants in there....then flushed again like a week later and mine are fine

im acutally a rookie so i cant really say i now a hole lot but i have some 3 week year olds in some organic mircale grow and i honestly regret using the mircale grow at the early stage that i used it in... my babys have suffered alot of nute burn thier getting alot better now but for my next batch i will defenitly use jus regular soil

i use mg moisture control with perlite at about a 60/40 mix. i learned very early that with MG soil that it's best to let it dry out before watering or i got alot of nute burn.

been using mg potting mix for over a year now because its really cheap and has really good drainage and wont turn to mud for over a year now. Always started the plants in jiffy pucks or rapid rooters then transfered into the mg. Also when I first put water into the soil I go until at least 25% of the water I put in it comes out the bottom then I give it a steady up and down movement to get the excess water out. Never had a problem with it.

How old are your plants?.. .Just wondering if my 2 week old can handle it.

I've used MG Organic Choice Potting mix from seed for my last 2 grows and my plants have been just fine with no nute burn or drainage issues. I also use MG nutes at half strength every third watering and have not run into issues. Just remember when using MG...flushing is an absolute necessity.

u pour a shit load of water in it...when it starts coming out the bottom, keep pouring more and more that water should be pouring out of the bottom for a few minutes....its supposedly 2 gallons of water for 1 gallon of soil....but if you have smaller pots obviously u would use less

I use one bag organic MG potting soil with one half bag MG Perlite mix it all in a trash bag and use it for the whole grow. after a few weeks I fert with MG Nute but a lill less then a half teaspoon per gal of water and I water from below by setting my pot into a bucket till the water is level with the soil (dont let the ship sink) . with the perlite its almost like a potted hydro in that the nutes get flushed with watering in between fert, also the organic potting mix with chicken poo is good for adding around the top every so often , by removing some old and adding some new. my shit never burns and Mgrow promises if used right it won,t but I use less anyway , good luck.
Ps I use rocks and perlight nt the bottom of the pots

also I Pot- on often as needed always using the smallest pot possible,I germ in a cd case , seedling in a cardboard egg carton , young veg in a party cup ,I use clear party cups inside a red or blue party cup sheath to block out the light, so I can inspect whats going on underground so I know when to pot on pot on when growth slows and roots can be seen everywhich place in my "root window" into 1 quart yougart containers then I have some nice 1-3 gal terra cotta jawns , , when in its last pot I sometimes remove a bit of soil from the top at some point and add fresh as with this mix and how hot I keep my room I water pretty often which keeps it all from getting stale and is allmost a potted hydro deal , this set up is great for flushing in the end,, good luck guys Miracle Grow Kicks ass and wont burn if used right and even less more often . and just a reminder put holes in the cups and containers , I use a hot fire poker for the yougert jawns and a pocket knife for the party cups
