Yes. Lots of folks have. That said, because it has a slow release fertilizer, it's not the best option. There are usually other options at the big box stores that are better options.

I'd like to add to this that they have an "organic" mix that is really dense and has a ton of mulch in it making it not great as well.
But yeah people use miracle grow but don't be surprised if you run into trouble at some point.

Dig around on the site here and see what fits the style you are looking to do. There is no one answer to the best option question. All the systems have pros and cons. Soil, hydro, aeroponic, etc....

I think very novice growers would have the best chance for success by using a high quality potting mix like Fox Farms, Coast of Maine, ...etc.
or running a peat soilless mix like Promix with a simple fertilizer like Dyna-Gro or MaxiGro.
