At the moment I am growing 3 plants as a kind of test thing, as I don't smoke i'm not bothered what happens <- make sure you realise this ;)

My brother who does smoke was asking me if it affects the taste of the smoke if you use nutes

I wanna ask has anyone smoked weed with miracle gro all purpose?

dude you gotta flush ten days prior to harvest. That means running plain water through them once a day for the last ten days of their grow. (from day 46 of 12/12 till harvest). You really dont want the taste of nutes in your smoke, you wanna taste the plant. oh and BTW Miracle grow as you'll read on this site is garbage. at the very least you want DNF gro and DNF Bloom

Ive always used MG Time Release Soil. Ive tried grows where i flushed a couple weeks before harvest, ive transplanted before harvest....NOT RECOMMENDED, and of course ive just let them be and harvested. After trying those ive stuck with just letting them be. What i do is raise the ph for a couple weeks, and has almost the same affect on it when harvested for me. So i stick with the same waterings, just with a ph of 7.4. 6.8-6.9 is where u wanna be while ur growin which will be a nice nute intake for them. But all thats just my experience with it thus far, which has been nothin but good.

Some MG products are difficult to use for growing MJ, but not all. I use MG All Purpose Plant Food for my vegging stage - at half strength, every other watering. Here are my girls at the end of their veg stage (eight weeks) grown with MG. You can see, they're pretty healthy. You'll need somthing else for flowering, though.

As for flushing, it is what's recommended. Do a proper flush (3x the water as soil - for example, 3 gallons of water for a one gallon pot) ten days before harvest, and then continue to give only water for the remainder of the grow.

Cheers, so 10 days before harvest I need to water the plants with 3 times the amount of water I normally do and every 3 days?

Not quite. ten days before, you'll want to flush - so take each plant and stick it in the sink or tub, and pour three times the water, as the soil, through it - not three times what you use. So - one gallon pot would get three gallons of water through it, two gallon pot would get six gallons of water poured through it, and so on. Let the excess water drain off before you put them back. Then use only water (no nutes) for the remainder of the grow.:peace:

Are you saying that i will actually have to flush the plant before just switching to plain water as this could be a problem for me my grow is a stealth attic and the girls are bushy and i don't fancy taking them down to the bathtub ,I was just going to feed them with a water/molasses mix for the last two weeks ,would this do :dunce:

I’ve used it, miracle grow is just not made for cannabis although it can be used effectively as I used mg all purpose for veg and mg bloom for flower and I just flushed maybe twice for the last two watering just plain water it tasted fine and turned out pretty killa but if you want to raise the bar and yield as much as possible miracle grow isn’t the guy for the job. I think miracle grow was designed for general garden plants and veggies like toms and beets and shit.
