Mint?

So i recently bought a couple Mint plants for my home as they put off a great aroma (obviously) and I came to think..

Could the aroma be powerful enough to cover the smell of MJ?

As it is now, my plants and my mint are the same size (with the plants in veg) and when i walk into the room that my plants are in, i smell mint but not weed.

The reason i am posting really, could a few Mint plants of equal size to an MJ plant cover up enough of the weed scent that it would not be an issue while the plants are in bud?

It does seem unlikely, but wouldn't it be nice?

I don't know, but I doubt it too.

It might be good for covering a slight MJ smell,.. like if you also have a carbon scrubber, or if the plants are real young. It's been my experience though, that when they get far into flowering, the smell they put off can't be covered unless you're using something so stinky and offensive you don't notice the mj smell. it's better to use products that remove the smell, rather than cover it. All you're doing is adding another smell.

It doesn't hurt to try,.. and maybe at some point you'll have to add a scrubber or do something in addition, but it may help early on.

yeah, it has always been my plan to make or buy a carbon filter or similer product but when i bought these mints i got a "what if?!" kind of moment. I would like to see if anyone else has any experience with this though... out of curiousity

Yeah,.. things get discovered through curiosity,.. like an unknown trait of mint plants to soak up stink along with CO2 when they respirate,..

But my money would be on having a mint smell in your grow,.. changing to a mint smell with a hint of MJ,.. to a smell of mint and MJ,.. to a smell of MJ with a hint of mint. But that also depends on the number of plants you have.

But who knows,.. keep on keepin on.

Actually the more I think about it,.. MJ will soak up smells/taste from air fresheners,.. which is why you don't want to use that stuff in your grow room. I don't know if it actually soaks it up, or if the smell just coats it.

Maybe if you have enough mint plants,..

the worst that will happen is that you spend too much time on growing mint,.. or your MJ with have a minty taste, which wouldn't be all bad.

I currently have 8 MJ, 2 Mint. The 8 plants are from seed and have not shown preflowers yet so i will hold off on buying more mint for now.

I will keep you updated if i remember lol.

oh and Mint flavored weed would be rad!
