Still noone has shit to say about how a 15$ minimum wage (in my part of PA) could possibly be a good thing.

Minimum wages should only be regulated by local governments.

^^^^ Bingo^^^ local governments don't give a shit about anything that affects their meager campaign funds. Hence the small town analogy above.

Oh just found out that in san fran u could get a tiny studio apartment for 1100.. yeha crazy wright???
That's California for ya, and that's just frickin' nuts. Wonder what their insurance and utility bills are?

I pay that for a monthly mortgage in a luxury 3,400 s.f. house on income producing acreage. I'd pay it off if the interest rate wasn't so cheap.

Not where I live and it depends on how much you put down, interest rate, etc. I built a custom built home at 5% cost plus, very heavy random cut natural hill country stone exterior, exotic woods like Jatoba, Spanish cedar, mahogony cabinets, red oak, top tier counters, Trane variable speed heat pump, ceramic tile flooring, every kind of energy tweek you can name, low e double paned windows, walk in shower with no doors.... has a built in tiled seat, walls, etc. Kitchen is what I call "gourmet" with large, wide pullout drawers to hold pots and pans, etc. so we don't have to stoop to look back in some nook and cranny, big granite wrap around counters, tiled backsplash.

Sounds like someone needs to move or buy a house for their first time to see what it's all about. :hump:

Yes 1,500 an hour is a lot. 15.00 on the other hand isn't.... I don't get your point?
If the owner can not afford a 15 dollar an hour minimum wage, then he/she must have been doing bad for a while and/or isn't good at business if that is what it takes to shut them down.
Yes, it's obvious you have owned several successful businesses.

Sweatshops are OK, cuz they reduce unemployment?

Thats the logic you just used... Justified not paying a livable wage, by saying that a poverty wage can be given to more people that way?

Thats not a company thats broke, thats a SYSTEM thats broke.
I didn't even mention a sweatshop. That's the misdirection you use. Here's the logic you use: underpay your best workers so the people you would be better off letting go can have their "living wage" which seems to be whatever they say it is. So maximize expense while minimizing returns. Go bankrupt. Can everybody.
