mini split and colder climates

So ive been thinking about a mini split with an inverter for heat...but... im wondering how that works in a colder climate??

Where im at winter temps can easily drop down to -25c and stay there for weeks...i suspect that would be problematic when trying to get heat out of the mini during lights off??

Also, what about cooling the tent during lights on...i mean, will the mini run properly outside at -25?

Generally, no, to at least the cooling question, but probably to the heating question too (not sure as my minis are not heat pumps). Most mini splits only run down to 11f (about -10c) but in my experence it always says in the technical specs of the individual unit

Hmmmm... ive been using a small window unit built in to my space and i wanted to get away from that. Its a bit noisy...and the room that it vents into gets pretty warm, making the unit work harder...

I use one of these pumps to cool my LEDs with a car radiator in the garage.

If you have a spot you could put a radiator of whatever sort both in your grow room and outside or in a cold garage and add fans to the radiators you should be set. You could have a fully functional and quiet system that uses less than 100w to run.

I use the AC/DC adapter from an old computer router to power mine.
