Mini-split AC needs some repair....

I think my mini-split leaked out its coolant last Fall. Do you guys have anyone to recommend in the Flint area who might be able to diagnose and get it running again? (discreet) We are pretty sure it had a leak. Doesn't seem to be a mechanical issue.

Could be a number of things, around the port where the freeon goes into is it oily? . Is it blowing but not cooling at all? If so the freeon leaked out, it could be leaking through one of the line sets, or leaking through the condenser in the actual unit. Could be an extremely slow leak where you will only have to add more freeon once a year, or it could be a very fast leak where it will leak out within hours of adding it.

For starters I would find a heating/cooling guy on craigslist or around town, have him come out and recharge the unit. He can do this from outside, he does not need to come in, will take him 15 minutes.

If it stays charged then your good to go. If not then some further investigating needs to be done.
