Mini Growroom design advice.

Hi all, lots of help needed.

I have just set up a new space designed for 1 or 2 at a time, auto's. Its dimensions are 90 cm h x 80 cm wide by 35 cm deep. Giving me a cubic foot space of about 9 cubic feet.

It is basically a kitchen wall cabinet on wheels.

I have mylar'd the inside walls, attached an intake and outtake fan, each of which rated to shift 22 cubic feet of air per minute.

I am cfl'ing, ideally using about 18 x 20w cfl's to give me 360w.... however...

I have run the setup with no plants in there, and the temps are rushing up to about 45c / 115f. Even with my noob styles I know that is a bit high :wall:

I have tracked back, removing bulbs until my temps are appropriate, I have 3 20w bulbs keeping my space at 28c / 82f.

Keen to learn

22 cfm is weak. I know your cab is small. But you need a more powerful exhaust fan for the small space heat build up...

46CFM for around 300w in CFL is what i was running now im 110CFM for 150w HPS and 160w in CFL its also summer and my all CFL was in the winter. I would use 120mm PC fans and a pc fan controller so you can raise and lower the RPMs of the fans changing the CFM. Check out Newegg.com i got my fans for like $8.39 bought 4 and got free shipping so i paid around 30 for 4 fans and if i bought them retail it would have cost me over $75. Coolerguys.com has some good stuff to and fast shipping to the west coast. Also 1000bulbs.com has great deals on CFLs but i always check amazon.com before ordering from anywhere else. If you blow air onto the CFL ballast it will stay cool also something you might play around with.

PICS WE NEED SOME PICS:-)

I will read your threads, and get some pics sorted... keep checking in the next hour or so.

Im suprised that just doubling the CFM helped so much. uk based so some of your suggestions won't help too much.

The Computer fans have been converted into usb fans, running through a hub fan, I will show you on the pics.

Edit: just saw the pack which allows you to hook up computer fans to a controller unit which can then be plugged into the mains. A little gutted i spliced my fans to usb now, Thats a useful looking piece of kit.

Also just noticed that the power supply that I am using to power my Arcitc Breeze Pro [fan which is also the usb hub for my intake / outtake fans] is only 6v, and my sharkoon silent eagle fans are rated at 12v, So I am imagining that I am only running them at half capacity? Any thoughts?
