Just a heads up unless you have done this already you may wanna turn around =/

I tried to make a small unit a while ago with a bucket like yours. I had a fan on top blowing out with 2 passive intakes on bottom. The main prob you will have is with CFL if up and down will get barely any light to the plant. You also will need at LEAST a 42w sideways or a couple 26w in there. Now, to turn the 42w sideways it wont fit in there, and the diameter of the bucket isnt big enough to get two 26 watter on a Y connector. It would just be alot easier to take ur design n throw it in a rubbermaid man =/

I see what ur tryn to do brotha, but that light shining on ur root structure will cause u problems, what about switching that bucket to a file cabinet, putting the aquarium in it and keeping the plant level with the top of the aquarium letting the tank be the resevoir?

Some folks say this is too small, but it's really perfect for growing an autoflowering dwarf like White Dwarf!
