P.S

weekly update! - Jan 3
hope you're all having a good day, i'm just gonna jump right into it.
i've recently upped my nutes on purp frost#1 to the following -
nutes -
Jacks 321 @ 4grams/5gal
Cal-nit @ 2.5grams/5gal
epsom salt @ 1.5gram/5gal
Hydroguard @ 2.5tsp/5gal
350 ppms
P.H @ 5.8, goes up to 6.62 in 24 hours, but gets brought right back down.
Temps in tent this week - 60-74F/40% humidity
Res temps - 60-74F

for the rest of the plants, they're still the same as last week, which if you're too lazy to scroll up it was
Jacks 321 @ 3grams/5gal
Cal-nit @ 2grams/5gal
epsom salt @ 1gram/5gal
Hydroguard @ 2.5tsp/5gal
275 ppms

enough about the nutes, now.
Purp frosting #1 - as i said before, she was upped in nutes and responded fairly well to it, i feel as if she could definetly be fed a little more, but i don't wanna push my boundaries. i topped her on her 4 main tops again, not the bottom tops, though, they weren't ready, so there's only 12 tops so far, we're looking for 16 which we'll be at by next week. then we just let the plants grow and, then finally flower after 3-4 weeks :) really excited. pics of roots, and plants follow!

CFS - so as i've said in my post before, i accidentally trimmed off one of my main nodes/tops, i don't think of it as a big deal, though, i'll strive though it. other than that, i did do a trimming on her, cutting off the bottom two nodes that were left on so i wouldn't stress the plant much. pic(s) follow
Purple frosting #2 - balls. that's all i have to say.
hope that if anyones reading this enjoyed the update, to my future self, don't trim while you're sober.
Some pretty pearly white roots there. Root zone is exploding. Good recovery. ;-)

Looking good. I'm really interested in seeing that Purple Frosting. So much good stuff, and another outdoor season right around the corner too...would love to see some Honest gear in my outdoor garden.

outdoors too risky for me, although i'd love to try it one day. maybe with dwc.

Yeah, I'm lucky to be in California, the only thing to worry about is tweakers ripping my plants.

Funny you should mention dwc outdoors...I'm kicking around the idea of doing a 55 gallon barrel outdoor hydro grow...I was considering doing Kratky, but I have an air pump and stone sitting around, so I may add aeration. Should be able to grow a beast of a plant that way.

definetly add aeration if you can, marijuana plants don't like being drowned from my experience.

I did some outdoor Kratky cannabis plants with no aeration, and they did just fine...the key is to maintain that air gap at the top of the reservoir so the roots can breathe, no plant likes being drowned ;-). Also I used pond-zyme to prevent algae growth and root rot, neither of which showed up.

I'd want to use aeration, I think, mainly for the sheer mass of roots I'll have in a 55 gallon drum. I've seen guys grow hot peppers Kratky style in a large trashcan and it worked out well, but I think aerated would be better. Still not sure what I want to do...I'm all about trying unconventional approaches and seeing how it works so we'll see...

okay. i gotta push my plants into flower early, only by a week or so, shouldn't be much harm, if anything it'll make sure i'm being extra careful not to let the plants get too tall
my seedling is just gonna be a test from now on, so i can get used to using the nutrients to start up seeds for next grow.
i have some clones started up as a test, too.

hey guys. update before a bigger update.
gonna have to push my plants into flower next week. i'm satisfied with how she looks atm, i thought this picture made her look her very best.

shows exactly how many nodes i have (16), my thick ass genetically purple stems.
the smell on her is amazing, not quite that roadkill skunk smell like before, though.

all pics of purple frosting. my choc frosted sherbert turned out to be a female, will post pics of her later.

figured it should be noted, flowering has been slowed down tremendously due to my low temps, this is also going to cause lower yeild, hense small ass buds.
a few days ago i've raised my temps up, and started using heavier doses of orca, to maintain no root rot.

hope everyones having a good week. i got in the forest today with the camera again, lol. some nice macro shots came out of it.
