Yum yum! Pearls in Mordor. Don't let the Nazgul find out...Bruce Banner looking like she's on fire, and a bit of bubble from the trim.

That's a lot of MKP, I'm surprised you don't have issues with it.My Current Set Up
a long overdue update ~
When I started this thread I did a lot of things differently. Part of what's great about being a hobbyist Cannabiculturalist is that one can experiment at one's leisure, at least to some extent. I'm going to outline my current set up, because I feel like I'm settling in to a rhythm I like.
Products:
Royal Gold's Tupur Coco
12" Premium Mesh Bottom Pots I got at my local hydro shop.
Oasis Hydroponic 16-4-17 (aka Jack's Hydro FeED)

MgSO4
Methods
Hand-watering every other day, every day for the bigger girls when in late flower. I use tap water at 7.0pH, always between 100-150ppm, Sometimes I check and pH the nutrient solution down around 6.0, sometimes I don't. I don't actually pay much attention to it at all.
I make stock solutions of the Hydro Feed, MKP, and MgSO4, each concentrated at levels where I add a tablespoon of each per gallon, no thinking.
I fill a glass eyedropper bottle with Cal-Mag.
I add a dropper full of Cal-Mag to each gallon of water all throughout the vegetative stage, but not during flower.
Feeding Schedule
Veg Stage:
Flip-time:
- I start with nothing tap water and a dropper of cal-mag per gallon until they are established
- then I run about 500ppm of the Oasis 16-4-17, plus a dropper of cal-mag, typically 600-750ppm final.
Late Flower: (final 2-3 weeks):
- Stop using Cal-Mag,
- keep the veg nutes around 500,
- add 1 gram of MgSO4 per gallon
- add 2 grams of MKP per gallon.
I vary all this a little bit depending on the plants' condition, but that's the basics of what I am doing these days, and it seems to work pretty well.
- Bump MKP up to 3g per gallon.
Before I switched to the hard-sided plastic pots I pulled almost 5 zips of Bruce Banner grown in a 3 gallon fabric bag. I'm hoping to get close to that on every plant, before too much longer.
My base feed analysis is 4-1-4 so I've been bumping up the P in flower. I'm not sure I really need that much, but I don't seem to be hurting the plants with it so far. That's a lot of MKP, I'm surprised you don't have issues with it.
If it's not causing tox issues then you must be okay. I suspect the soil is buffering it. MKP is 0-52-32, so a little goes a long way. I use .25g/gallon.My base feed analysis is 4-1-4 so I've been bumping up the P in flower. I'm not sure I really need that much, but I don't seem to be hurting the plants with it so far.
What sort of problems do you see with too much MKP? I would assume Phosphorus toxicity, but I'm not seeing it.
I remembered that, about your setup, and I was pretty hesitant at first to use as much as I am now, but my starting P is so low compared to a lot of systems I eventually pushed it up. I also run straight water every 4th watering or so. Cheers! If it's not causing tox issues then you must be okay. I suspect the soil is buffering it. MKP is 0-52-32, so a little goes a long way. I don't run much P in my mix. But if it's working who am I to argue? The plants, as always, get the last word.I remembered that, about your setup, and I was pretty hesitant at first to use as much as I am now, but my starting P is so low compared to a lot of systems I eventually pushed it up. Where you been?uh, hi, bitches.
Welcome back!Hey man, I saw your call, I was out the game since early June. About to pop my last three TX Roadkill from you, tonight.
Thanks man, pretty pumped, but I hit an electrical snag this morning, need a technician.Welcome back!
Thanks, man! It really works, I will probably go back to using it. I appreciate your kind words, it's good to be back. The only downside to the fly line backing is it is a bit thin and will cut into the stems sometimes. You could get around that using thicker material or sliding some thin silicone tubing over the string before tying on the second hook. The plants don't seem to give any fucks about it, so I probably won't modify the technique. I can't wait to see these beans pop!Great thread. I'm totally stealing that barbless hook for LST idea. So simple! Love it.
