mid blunt session grow idea 0.o

ok so im sitting here smoking in my hot tub and im thinking.....what if i used my jacuzzi to grow pot....so im thinking about it more and more and it kinda seems like a really good idea. i can set the temperature of the water to whatever i want, leave the jets on for airation, do a dwc grow. i have a cover for it and i could cut holes in it and fit like 15 pots. its in a little outside room thats attached to my house so i have a couple fans there, bunch of lights (to add to the outdoor light).

i think its a great idea, but, i am stoned. so what do you guys think???????

if your tossing the hot tub i'll take it and trade you a bunch of 5 gal buckets

thats a great fucking idea... do it!

just make sure you drain out your hot tub and clean it well to get all the chlorine or borine out of there. Besides that I think it might be the more expensive way to go about things. Keeping your hot tub on to control the temps and keeping the bubbles on would probably use up way more electricity than a simple hydro set up would. Also, flushing the plants in something that big might be difficult and changing out the water would take you forever.

maybe i'm just hating because I didn't think of it first lol.

I pay the same amount every month for electricity so that wouldnt really be an issue for me. I dought id have to change the water that often because i have a pretty good water filtration system in it, and i have a plug on the side for when i do need to drain it.

make sure u line the air inlets and any water filters with a copper mesh to prevent roots clogging the system

post #2...lol i hottub is too pricey to grow pot in. great idea but 5gal buckets or a 45 gal storage tote will suffice. leave the hottub as a hottub....

you could see how big you could get 1 plant in the hot tube, see how massive of a root ball you can get.

I bet it would make one hell of a dwc grow. But not enough better than say a big ass trash can with a big air compressor to give up having a hot tub for that long.

I would think you would run into clogging issues in the filtration system with nutrients...which goes on to, if the filter removes the solids your nute levels could drop....if you wanted to do it, make sure the filter doesn't actively clean internal waters but only filter new water being pumped into the system. If you are dead set on using the tub and the filter does actively clean, maybe using a good air pump or multiple and plenty of airation with air tubes layed around the bottom.
