Micro Idea

I have and area 25in wide X 16in deep x 37in tall. I plan on using a 3 gallon bubbler bucket and start with 3 plants. i will only take one plant to full bloom in this bucket. I plan on using one 70w hps and 1 or 2 42w cfls to the end. If i can afford it come flowering i will get one more 70w hps. I know height will be an issue but if I veg for only 4 to 5 weeks and FIM or top the plants, could i get away with 1 OZ of good smoke? I will only use bag seed as this is only an experiment, to take a few plants to maturity using hydroponics. Testing for future runs when i have more space and can set up my 400 w hps.:joint:

I for got to add I can extend the height about 12inches or so. I figured that using the 70w hps and the low penetration of the light throught the plant, i should keep the plant short and bushy, there fore the height would only be for weak undeveloped buds.

well thought out, make sure you test this area before putting plants into it.

it looks good.

nice drawing too

i don't see video around so far, so i tell you my thoughts on this:D

have you figured out some ventilation for your grow so far, you will need fresh air vent intake and some ventilation insides to keep the air moving so that the plants get their CO2/O2. also should this take care of your heat problem you will face for sure.

but on everything else, it looks like a great set up:)

Green if you look at the drawing I have above, the two things on the top of the box are pc fans. What do you think the cfm rating should be?

cfm of a pc fan, damn low it will be, that is for sure!

calculate in this way, volume of your grow room, now this air should be moved within 3min max. now divide this by half and you got yourself the cfm rate for a damn got fan for your grow;)

and by looking on that measurements you posted above, it won't be a pc fan you will need;)

So if my calculations are right then I need 2 fans that push 86cfm. This seems kind of high. Did I do this right? Or is it suppose to be 86cfm total? In either event there are pc fans that push 100+cfm so I would be able to use pc fans to vent my room right?:hump:
