Hey, I live in a small apartment and indoor growing space is limited. Wondering if you can walk me through with a stealth grow set up? how big can I grow them? Also, can I top them off? How much can they yield? How long will they take to grow?

Sorry for the numerous questions. I'm just very curious on how to do such grow. Hope you get to it, thank you! Happy smoking :bigjoint:bongsmilie

easy stuff
what area can u use ......what is the maximum size u have to work with in LxWxH
after that u look around to what fits your needs

do u need to be hidden as in smell
what is the temp of the air naturally where u live
do u have places to vent and drawl in air
what is your circuit break a 15amp or 20 amp and do u have that full breaker to use (is other stuff plugged into same breaker)

u can go them as big as your space allows ......account for pot height and light distance from the top cola (12-16 inches) and light from the top of your area ( minal 4 to 6 inches to allow a filter or ducting)

all plants can be topped ....it will cause bushing out

time frame depends on what u pick Auto flowering (seed to smoke 78 90 days) or Photo plants (seed to smoke 10 weeks to 4 months clones knock off 2 weeks)
the amounts u make depends on the plant strain plus your area your light and your feeding skills

I rent so my setup is probably exactly what you're looking for. I bought a Sterlite plastic storage cabinet for 45 bux from walmart and spent a couple days turning it into a grow cab.

If you can't dedicate a room to growing and a tent is too obvious I'd make yourself a cabinet. You want a space you can completely control the environment and something that doesn't look out of place if landlord comes by.

I can go into detail if interested. My cabinet is lined with panda film, holds my 150 HPS light and has a nice exhaust and filter system. All necessary for growing. I'd say it all cost me about 250 or so.

As far as growing is concerned I grow single cola plants SOG style. Great for maximizing yield is small space. You could also SCROG or just grow a single plant. However SOG is not only great for small space it allows you to grow different strains if necessary.

Photo attached is a non SOG grow from when I first built can just to show ya the cab. Second is a batch of SOG plants to give you am idea of growing style.

Good luck!

Thank you, I appreciate it. If I'm not being to much Of a bother can you send me the link for a good filter that won't run me a lot if money and also id like to know more about the SOG growing style.

No prob. Always try to help new growers as I was years ago.

Fan and filter combo -

150 watt Sun System HPS

Since the cabinet is not roomy I have the fan and filter behind my cabinet. Fan pulls hot air from a hole in cabinet wall(use a piece of womens nylons to filter any debris as you don't want anything in your fan/filter) and out through odor filter. It's better to pull air through filter but my space doesn't allow it.

That 150 HPS is cheap but quality. Sun System is a fantastic US based company. I've heard those lights have been under water in flooded basements and still worked. Made real well. They also have 250 hps and up if you want more power. This single light helps me pull a few ounces at once easy.

As far as SOG goes you can go a few routes. From seed you can either start it on 12/12 flowering from seed and it'll grow a single stalk like that. I recommend 18/6 until it's about 2-3 weeks in and then switch to flower. I usually use clomes though. I'll veg a few strains and take clones. The clones are switched to flower as soon as they root or about a week or two after rooting. Don't want to top or anything as you don't want much branching.

In SOG I use anything from 22oz cups to 1/2 gallon pots. Since you're keeping them small and not vegging long they do fine in a small cup. This way you can cram as many as you can in your space. Average anywhere from 5-25 g per container. The idea isn't a lot of yield per container but a collective yield and the plants can utilize the light better than large plants in a smaller space. The idea is rows of crop like plants aka "sea of green".

You also cut a lot of time out this way as you have little to no veg time. However long the strain flowers for (usually 2-2.5 months) is time start to finish.

Some reading I recommend: http://howtogrowmarijuana.com/sea-of-green/

Also if you're deciding on growing medium/style I recommend hempy buckets (can google tutorial). I use hempy cups in 100% perlite as the medium. For feeding I use lucas method which is by far easiest. You use the same ratio of General Hydroponics Flora Micro and Flora Bloom (8 mL micro, 16 mL bloom) from start to finish. I also add a bit of cal/mag as some strains need the extra calcium or magnesium.

If this is overwhelming you can just go with a nice soil like Fox Farms Ocean Forest and then buy a nice bloom bottled nutrient (ex. Botanicare) once the soils nutrients run out. You shouldn't need veg nutrients if running ocean forest in SOG as the soil lasts about a month.

I recommend doing as much reading as possible. Tutorials are your friend and trial and error helps you learn.

those 150w would be an awesome buy for a cheap setup.
if you can get 2'x2' of area you should be able to grow plenty of bud for yourself with one of those 150w
https://www.rollitup.org/t/150w-hps-club-inspirational-resource.106339/

theres also CFLs but they hardly compare with the growth and bud you get from a single HPS

i use a 250w and do 12/12 from seed.

my CFL starter/veg/clone box, about15"x15"x20", this is what i started with before getting the HPS
i still start the 1st grow of the year with this and then it just sits there doing nothing once the HPS is fired up.

this is my 250w area about 2'x3', the lamp rarely gets over about 3' off the ground
really basic setup, simple desk fan to circulate, no exhaust fan, heat just rises out the top
not really a stealth setup but i dont have ppl anywhere near it to smell or see it.
