Micro Grow, first grow in a long time

"SweetestCheeba" Well I already topped the plants so I am hoping if I SCROG them correctly in the Net Trellis I can manipulate the branches into their own area and light channel. Little Bonsai action!

SweetestCheeba, The girls are getting big and I tried to use the Net Trellis to control the height and made them grow outwards. week 2 in flower and so far so good, they are doing awesome and took some clones in week one to see how they would do. I put them next to some peppers I am growing. The Botanicare CNS17 line seems to work pretty well and really easy.

I was just thinking... It'd be cool if you put a little light mover in there :)

Do you know the specs on the LED? Why do you think they used CFL and LED? I ask because I am working on a micro gro cab for summer. This way I get all the joys of growing, but I don't have to run my AC :)

Sunny, The LED in there is a Tri-Spectrum 110 Diode 45w LED unit and it is only drawing 25 watts.
I believe they add the CFL lighting for the Vegetative stage and supplemental light for the flowering stage. The girls look great although I overfed them Friday night and they are mad at me. lol

I have a UFO that will supply 30w per sqft of acual power which is right in the sweet spot. I wonder if I can turn this on right away or if I should do some CFL first. What do you think? You inspired me. I'm making a real cool 1 plant cab.

Sunny747, depending on the light spectrum of that UFO LED you might consider adding some CFL in the beginning. I know the cool spectrum helps with the veg process and I think the plants still like it during flowering. Mine has continued to look good. The company I got it from has good descriptions on their website, they might have more info.

Yea, this ufo says its full spectrum. Not really sure. I think a 6500k cfl would probably be helpful..

I'm trying to get the whole grow to around 100 actual watts of power used. My current grow takes at least 500 watts. It's irritating to get that elec bill :)

That's what they include in my MediCab. 2 23W 6500k CFL's. Pics taken a few days after last posted pics. Getting full and fitting into the Net Trellis nicely.

I feel like the CFLs add something that the LED light is missing. My plant feels rather weak and spindly compared to when I veg with CFL and flower with HPS.
