Micro Grow, first grow in a long time

I just recently bought a MediCab Micro grow box from a company called Cabinet Grow and I am really excited to grow again.

I grew back in 2008 in my garage with a 3 stage setup and was considering that but I don't have time so I wanted to try a micro grow and ended up buying this micro box.
It has 2 23W CFL's and a LED panel, carbon filter and an intake and exhaust fan.
It came with everything I needed and I am stoked to get started. It looks like a closet on my computer desk.
I got some Alien Grenade clones. Stoked!

Has anyone tried a micro grow before?

wow that cabinet is small..... but with some LST \scrog you can fill it https://www.rollitup.org/t/low-stress-training-lst-guide.369528/
in general growing in small spaces is fun but a challenge I frequent this area https://www.rollitup.org/f/indoor-growing.49/
i'd add more light if you can.... and those plants are pretty big already don't wait too long to transplant them into a bigger pots and switch to 12/12 they will double to triple in size depending

I was going to add something else but i'm high and now i can't remember
oh well
getting old's a bitch

Thanks for the Tip man, I actually got those bad boys about a month ago and just now had some time to post my blog about them.
I accidentally Veggied them for too long, topped them and now they are looking pretty good.
I am using the net trellis in there to help with height and there is an LED light as well for additional lighting.

Week 2 in Veg and they are already getting kind of bushy. I topped my plants and gave them a little haircut. So far they have been responding well in my little cabinet and I love it.. Temperatures have been between 70-78 and humidity between 40-50%IMG_5914.JPG

Small grows are so cool. I'm subbed so you better finish the grow and document :)

How many watts is the LED? How many total watts per sqft including the cfl? What's the temps like?

I forget the word for it, but what would work so well in there is a clone taken from a flowering plant. I did that once on accident and they were the bushiest pnats ever.

Let's see a pic of the filter and lights. Is it my imagination or is that a cool little carbon scrubber up top?

2.5 weeks in Veg and I decided to switch on the 45 Watt LED light and go into 12/12 flowering modebecause the plants were getting a little too tall. I topped, trimmed and halved some of the leafs to help provide energy elsewhere. I put up the Net Trellis that was provided and I am going to make the plants grow outward. I gave the plants their first feeding of nutrients a few days ago and they responded with perkiness and excitement. The box came with Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil and the CNS-17 nutrient line. I was told by the company I did not need to feed for the first few weeks because the soil is enriched with stuff the plants like. The first feeding was with CNS-17 Grow nutrient. Plants liked it.

Sunny747, There is a custom Carbon Filter attached to the top left of the cabinet to an axial fan that exhausts out. The company designed this filter themselves I believe. The lighting inside is 2 23 watt CFL's and a 45 watt blue/red LED lighting panel. It's pretty awesome.

how many watts are the LEDs a piece? 1 watters? I saw in their larger cab that they use 5w LED's.. That would require quite a bit of clearance to prevent burning..

Yea, It's a cool setup for sure..

Where do I shop these LED strips you speak of? I want side ligthing for my next grow
I used something like this with an old power cube from a blown external hdd they run 12v

or these are even brighter

i have a cab that is ~ 18x18x 27 with 3 halo's for lack of a better term at ~18 watts and they flood that cab with light from all directions
some even have 3m adhesive strips on the back

enjoy

Do you know the lumens per watt you get from 5050 strips. I was under the impression SMD5630/5730 is higher at 110-120lm/w. (I thought 5050s were superseded this way.).

Wow those strip lights are pretty awesome. I believe the company I got the box from has supplemental LED lighting for their bigger cabinets but I don't want to raise my temps too much. My girls seem to be doing great right now.
"TallPaulMV" I am running 2 girls in there. Unless that was directed towards mmmmBrownieS. The girls were getting pretty fully when I switched the LED on as well to finish my veg stage.
