MH vs T5 for flowering

I have a 400w MH. I also have a 4' 8 bulb T5 (6 2700k and 2 6500k bulbs). Which would be best for flowering? I know MH is not ideal but would it be better than the T5?

I think the whole MH for veg thing came about before there were so many widely available high output fluorescents. The T5 will run cooler and provide better, more even coverage. You could get it closer to the plants as well. I use PLL lights for veg (similar to T5's) and cant imagine a different light doing a better job. I can barely contain the growth on my vegging plants.

Also, I would use 6500k bulbs for veg. At least more 6500k then 2700k.

Im talking about flowering

Shit run them both. Have whatever HID light available over the canopy and the T5 hung vertically for side lighting. Unless space is a issue.

do self a favor get a cmh if gona do one bulb
if you break it down mh is best for veg

mh is best for first 1/3 of flower - it reduses stretch
hps is best for 2nd 1/3 of flower - it will give you rock hard buds if at all in the genetics
mh will serv you best - for final 1/3 of flower - best bulb to take advantage of final bulk up stage

an in my humble opinion best hps is - eye hortilux
an the best mh is actually a cmh these days
and you can see if only one bulb which would serv you best on most of the casses - cmh

i usea a 4oow hps a horti and a 250w cmh for years now i just got this hood now about 4 months
luvin it i had a sloppy set up B4 now just need two ballast any size bulb 250's to 1000's

i hang my uvb bulb off iit during flower if you use lower wattage a uvb will aid in adding trichs

best set up is both spectrums i spin pots an rotate position under bulbs all the time

i veg in my little closet under flouros and t's

Somehow I feel your T5 will do a better job for flowering, it has the proper spectrum.
