They all 5 have sprouted.
I have faith in this grow's outcome. Five DinaFem white widow Autoflowers, this is hopefully gonna bring us at least a couple hundred grams (About 7oz's) if I play my cards right. Send some good luck our way folks! So I put them under the 400 watt MH tonight, because as of last Wednesday, the roots to WW1 and 2, were emerging through the cubes so I put them all in their final containers. I have a cool tube with an air intake of about 45 DEG F. Thanks to the shitty ass weather of NYS. Thank you spring, for keeping us all nice and cold

My question is, which light should I use for the first couple weeks on these autos? Some say HPS all the way through, and some swear by starting with MH then switching to HPS when you see sex. Any opinions?
Here they are right after the light change:

You don't need to change light timers or bulb color range since the plants are pre-programmed to do their thing. They are going to do their thing (almost) regardless of what you do.

Yes thank you, I know that I dont need to change timers. I was just asking opinions of people who may have tried and tested these theories. Hps all the way then. It wont cause stretching right?

opinions are like assholes...everyone has one and they all stink.

just keep the lighting on 20/4 or even 24/7 i have seen great results.

mixed light spectrum would be best is what they say.

they also say MH for Veg and HPS for flower, that being said it probabally goes the same for auto's if you have both bulbs theres no harm in using the MH untill they start to flower. then switching to the HPS.

Like the guy above said, Automatics still have a Veg stage and Flowering stage (just we cannot control it), so the same principals should be applied for Optimal results, i.e. MH for first few weeks then switch to HPS once you see them start to Flower. Simple really, if you have both bulbs and can use them then Do it dood, your plants will thank you in the long run. :weed:

me i use a double bulb hood and i have a 400w hps -eye hortilux and a 250w cmh - phillips
i use both bulbs all the time rotating pots under bothe and spinning pots

i also throw in a uvb bulb during flower

truth of matter is
mh or cmh is best for veg
first 1/3 of floer is best served by mh or cmh - if you want to reduce stretch - not needed wit autos
second 1/3 is best served by hps - to give you rock hard buds
an last 1/3 is best served by mh or cmh - to best take advantage of the final bulk up stage

to me multy spectrum is the way to go

but the person earlyer was right all have opinions
