MH not working right?!?!?

Hey everyone, how long does it usually take your metal halide lights to come on? Mine is 400 watts and I havent used it in forever and my light looks like its trying to come on, but its been like 5 minutes. Anyone know whats up?

should be less than a minute. mine comes on right away unless its hot then it has to cool down first but thats the only thing that should from coming on right away. for it to get fully bright 5 minutes sounds about right

It actually came on right after I posted this. It was probably because I havent cut it on it literally over a year and a half.

My MH conversion bulb, (in my 400w HPS) usually takes around 5 mins to get to full brightness.

Thats interesting Jobo because my ballast is a conversion ballast, but I am not sure if its MH/HPS or HPS/MH. That might be part of the reason it takes so long to come on.
