MH Bulb shapes

Ive gone through 2 MH bulbs in my day and recently got a 3rd.
however its ROUND like a balloon. and the ones prior have both been long in shape
like a stick.

Is there a real difference? is one brighter? shorter life span? burn angle?
Im a creature of habbit, and this round one is irritating me LOL.

Are these differences "if any" be the same on round HPS ones too?

The system is a batwing with Mogul 400watt.

Don't fret it ..all the same. simply the shape...... nothing else changes.

Lots of ranged in lumen i didnt even notice before
MH 33k-39k
and HPS 48k-55k

Jeez. I been buying the cheap bulbs.
going to have to start paying attention at the actual lumen.

Just bought a new Ge Mulit vaopur 175 MH, it was shaped different than the last one cause it was made for outdoor use.

The shape of MH was long and had a bubble in the middle of it, mine never has never given out, maybe you have finger print on the bubls before you are putting them into the socket?

When i said i went through 2 MH blubs i didnt mean quickly, they each laster a very long time, i was trying to get the point across i wasnt a MH NUB ;D
Then the new shape threw me off. the first two were shaped like this

then when i got one like this

like a globe it threw me off, i thought all MH were long, this think was like a giant
incandecent sorta. but alls well now though, thx.
