I'll agree things go really well in the early period with MG, but has anybody else noticed odd salt buildups over time??
I'm referring to varous crystalized ferts in home built soil that seems to be compatible with most nutes..

I did take note that most MG products I had were comprised of mainly urea nitrogen which can be contaminated with a toxic form called biuret.. Urea essentially breaks down to ammonia though, and plants do prefer ammoniacal N during the early days.. I'm a big nitrate fan after that though unless pH went too high..

Because itsgrowinglikeaweed took this thread as an opportunity to let us know he/she thinks MG is harmful to the planet. Then went on to explain what else he/she does to save our planet's resources and generally leave a smaller carbon footprint. (This was in response to FDD's query whether he/she owned a car in an attempt to point out some hypocrisy). Al Gore would be proud.

Anyway, some folks think (and probably rightly so) that having kids is the most harmful thing you can do to our environment. You are producing more individuals who will use and/or misuse our planets limited resources. So, all things being equal, an individual who doesn't produce offspring is harming the planet much less than an individual who does.

However, this theory presupposes that you aren't having a kid that also happens to be a genius and somehow figures out a way to, say, power a vehicle with human urine and the exhaust smells like fresh baked bread.

I think that was the point being made. I could be wrong.
But "the children are our future teach them well and let them lead the way." LOL j/k, I do disagree tho, lets say he/she has children of their own, those children will follow in he/shes shoes in protecting the environment. Now instead of having 1 voice you have multiple voices spreading their beliefs. Its all about the way we raise our children that makes the difference and yes 1 of those children (who does'nt have to be a genius) could come up with something that changes something that benefits the environment, and that something might be what all need and use.
