First off If you are one of those growers who dis mg then dont post I dont want to here complaining about Mg. I bought Mg oganic choice potting mix and Mg organic bone meal am I suppose to mix this 6-9-0 bone meal with my 10-5-5 mg oganic potting mix I am really stumped on this. I am flowering right now so I need so good phosperous which this bone meal has. If I can mix these two without burning my plants how much should I add please reply. This thread is for Mg organic choice experienced growers only.

well, i'm almost in synch with how you're growing
i've been using MG Organic Garden soil + bone meal
normally you mix the bone meal into the soil, let it set for a while, then the bone meal feeds for a long time, breaks down slow
there is another trick with bone meal called bone meal tea, kind of funky but works well, does take a little while to brew though

i've been using 1 tbsp per gallon of soil
my 1st grow was 2 gallons of this mix(with some dolomite) - 1st grow was good, began to see a touch of phosphorus deficiency after about 5 weeks, just as it entered flowering
fed only with bone meal tea(i used MG bone meal too) after and got an excellent harvest
right now growing micro scale with same soil, seeing the soil mix is a bit light on nute, which has given me a bit of grief

thanks that is what I needed to know I am using a 1 quart clay(they are still small) pot and I mixed 1/2 teaspoon and about two tablespoons of perlite with a half tbls of dolomite lime and in two hours they already look luscouis it is unbelievable how quick they accepted that bone meal-Dolomite-soil ratio I gave them. I am flowering with one week veg because of height issues.

1 quart is pretty small, i ran into trouble with pots that are about 1 pint(i think)
watch close for deficiency, i think you'll need to feed a good amount

I've had problems with using bone meal. It takes way to long for plants to absorb its benefits. If you choose to use it, I found it works best to let it sit in the soil for 3 weeks before transplanting. Bone meal is broke down in soil by bacteria and mg works as long as its the organic kind. In my experiance fox farm works best for me.

I used organic choice and would use it again. I have bone and blood meal but haven't used it yet. I think in part because I use worm castings and composted manure and so I have plenty of N. I don't want to risk burning even though it's all organic amendments.
Props to OP for using Organic Choice. I think it's great stuff for inexperienced gardeners and pros alike.
