Mexican Dirt Weed Grow! (Seedlings)

Hello everyone! This is more of a fun thread instead of the typical noobie questions I come here for.

So about a week about my friend had some weed and I mean this weed looked like it came right out of a brick that was smuggled from Mexico or something. It was near un-smokeable and was basically shit shake. However, in this substance that we would call a poor excuse for marijuana there was a good amount of seeds. With the permission of my first I took about 5 seeds from him.

I showed no care in the germination process as I figured these guys would not grow. The seeds weren't even good quality. I dipped some rapid rooters in some warm water and shoved the seeds inside. I ripped off a little piece of the side of the rooter and shoved it in the open hold to keep these girls (hopefully) nice and dark. I threw them under the dome let them be.

This morning I look at the dome and I see 2 of them actually sprouted. I was shocked as I kinda forgot about them for a few days before I looked. There were some nasty looking clear things pocking up. I gave them some light and they are actually starting to look like some decent little seedling. I think I'll put them in some dirt tomorrow and see what happens.

Light:
GE 55W Compact Fluorescent Bulb (78965)

I just thought it was really cool. Happy Growing! :bigjoint:

Never underestimate bag seed given some love. Long, long time back I would grow out brick bag seed either outside in a thicket of trees by a cattle tank or under 8' ho floro shop lights. Both resulted in a huge surprise jump in quality from all that partook... :)

What color was the bud the seed came from was it dark tan or dark green or light green were the seeds all the same size were some seeds small and dark in color and some large and tan or striped because with the proper knowledge you can determine some genetic charecteristics of the bud you will be harvesting. If all the seeds were generally the same size shape color ect that means there should be less genetic variations if the is a large variation of size color patern ect then there is more genetic variation and acording to ed Rosenthal northern Mexican is more tan to dark brown and southern Mexican is more green I've only seen southern Mexican with my first plug but when the tunnel linking Mexico and Arizona that my plugs people used got raided ending our supply wish I had kept the seeds another unfortunate missed a tempt on good genetics due to pride and high standards for the herb I consume was on some afghan smuggled by some people's friend that had some friend on deployment they bricked it with sand to prevent the buds from breaking apart when you broke the pounds down and to add weight

How's this so?? It's only logical that there would be a significant variation to genetics due to the climate change between northern Mexico and southern Mexico the north is more arid so dense buds would thrive but plant those same dense buds in tropical southern Mexico and the genetics will fade due to mold and natural selection I think you spoke before you thought about what was said

good luck with your grow
These were also Mexican Sativa seeds. There are some folks that say it wasn't like that but there I was. Actually, this is not a pic of my first grow it was the third outdoor, circa 1979:)

Got too cold & she didnt have time
But she taught me how to clone
So many are waiting to start with something "perfect". Take a shot, roll the dice, get growing... Knowledge is power but without hands on experience its like having a 9" dick that don't get hard... I learned how to clone, grow, transplant, fim, top, lst, lighting, temps, nutes, pot size, all with mexi brick seeds... Priceless experience... :)
