OK Guys. I've made a total school boy error.... I've just installed my bluelab pH controller. When I calibrated it and installed it, the pH was 0.4 higher than what it should be! I checked my pH pen with calibration fluid and it was 0.4 higher. I had calibrated the pen 4 months ago when I started the grow, but hadn't thought to do it again. How stupid.
So basically I was floating my pH from 5.6 - 6.3 - it was in fact going from 6.0 - 6.7. It's locked in at 5.8 now and will be until the end of the grow. Let's hope that solves the issue.
I'm also excited as I installed my chiller this morning and now my nutrient tank's temperature is a nice 19 degrees C (before it was 23)
