The marine corps is not even offering a reenslitment bonus. 3 years ago when i got out i got offered $82,000 non taxable since it was gonna be a reenlistment on another deployment over seas.
Now they offer zero $ reenlistment bonus, and in order to get into a 03xx field you need a no shit recommendation from the president.(little over exaggerated but not by much)
Marsoc is not accepting new applicants and has not been for the last 2 and a half years.

this was 1 1/2 years ago maybe 2 it was right after the big bonuses i remember one sgt got 120k reenlistment and another 25k to remain on station. then they came out. my buddy just got back from afgan with 1/1 and he cant reenlist now so idk how it is right now, but 2 years ago they were hurting for people so was MSG duty.

Yes and your PFT has a lot to do with your cutting score.
If a NCO ever came upon the board in front of me and i saw he couldn't even get 220 or for that fact 275 on a pft. He sure as hell wouldn't be getting promoted that quarter ;)

they had the great giveaway in 2007 all the cutting scores dropped in the comm field especially everyone picked up they called it the great giveaway, and people were too lazy to non rec those people. were u around for BCP body compositioning program lol the sgt that ran it was over weight lol

Yes i was got out few months after they instated it. Ran it though it was a joke.

Was never a p.o.g just heard about how they give away rank like its candy ;)
Just as in recon. Its harder to pick up rank in a basic grunt unit then a recon unit. They give that shit away like candy in recon as well. Snipers aren't much better as well.
