ohh man its looks very good !! you will have more yield of buds than your friends does because you let those plant grow big and stronger , thus it will produce fat, dense buds :) good job, sir.

Haha yeah if the budworms don't get too bad. Their a real pain in the ass out here in socal, I've been spraying neem every other day and so far so good.

A few smaller details about the grow, these plants have been veggin indoors for about 2-3 months depending on which one.
My soil is Fox farms ocean forest.
I have NOT fed the plants ANY nutes yet, its all the ffof at the moment, but when I do feed, I plan on bloom nutes only (alsaska morbloom 0-10-10), give or take a bit of nirogen here and there (fish emulsion 4-1-1)

yeah i feel ya man...i happen to live southern califas as well..its hot and crazy wind as well...i have to keep put plants move to the spot that get sunshine in the morning till about 1 pm its getting hot like 90 tem i have to move plants to under shade...i put them out of shade once again at the evening...i live on the second story and all of my plants are on the patio. today i just found out that one of my girl got pollinated (two are seedling)...and she just started to grow bud....thats sucks those plants are my expremient project with unknown strain seeds. i do use alaska 5-1-1- (not 4-1-1) mixed with molassess that keep flies at bay....thats my theory. i never try morbloom i was thinking about get green air 1-57-6 super bloom that sell at lowes because i want to keep leaves greener :)

Haha yeah our summer heres had a few hot days so fay, watch out cuz I'm pretty sure we'll be having our late august early september heat wave like usualy too. ;) I'm on the second story of where I live, but its a pretty big patio so my girls are getting full sun from sunrise till about 2 in the afternoon, which is good because thats when its hottest usually :) And pretty lame about the pollinated plants, thats a bummer.
The fish emulsion I have is not the alaska brand, I picked it up at a local garden center for about 6 bucks a quart, alsoI do recommend using the morbloom on a budget oriented grow, its given me plenty of great results. That 1-57-6 super bloom stuff you mention, I'm not sure about that stuff but you should totally give it a try and post results.

maybe i ll make a journal about this one :) right now i have two seedlings about two weeks now, its unknown strain...so i will work floraduo on this soon as they dry out from water and it will be their first nutrients, naturally start with low dose like a baby step :)

happy growing bro.

Just putting up a quick shot of the garden today, all of them are getting their stretch on so it seems flowering will start shortly. :)
Again, strains I'm growing are Green Crack, mother jones (casey jones crossed with mothers finest) strains A, B, and C. Theres also a "party cup" bubba kush in there somewhere lol, I don't think you can see her.

Did some inspecting today, and found one teeny lil green caterpillar, the bastard got fed to my fish :)

On a great note, pistols are starting to show everywhere, flowering has begun and things are looking bushy. I also sprayed the plants down with some azamax to keep pests off and away.
I wanted to let anyone reading know, I plan on shooting for 8 to 10 ounces of yield with all of them, you guys think that sounds like a good estimate?
This is only my second outdoor grow, the rest I've done have all been indoors, seeing as I've only been growing for a year now (with many more years of it to be expected lol)

Sorry if my update doesnt make sense, I just medicated and I'm kind of in rant mode, I mean the whole point of this update was for me to say that "my plants were flowering" and now look, its turning into half a page lol

Anyways, I also wanted to state that I don't yet know what the final product of the mother jones, or strains a b and c will look like, the only one of these I've grown so far is the green crack. In fact I've been keeping it around for almost a year since I got the original clone. I found out that this pheno I got was actually a really really nice one. so heres a few pics of previous green crack harvests, their all from the same genes. :) These nugs were grown indoor however, but I'm expecting the same type of quality from my outdoor plant.

Bumping it up. Not sure if I mentioned before, but this is my first "true grow" outside, last year I only had one plant outdoors.
I just gave my plants their first nutes, a fish emulsion of (4-1-1) and morbloom (0-10-10)
Strain A is showing trich's and its not even 3 weeks into flower, pistils are on all the plants, and things are coming along nicely. Pics soon :)

Bump, its been a few days since my last update. The butterflys are out in force, those little orange bastards are laying eggs here and there that I've been picking off. Only a few have managed to hatch and the caterpillars that do seem to end up eating a tiny bit of whatever leaf their on, and then falling off dead. Thanks to neem and azamax being used, I'm hoping they stay down to a minimum. I'm heading to the hydro store in about 20 minutes to go grab some of this,
http://www.growannex.com/pest-and-disease-control/caterpillar-killer-8oz-w/bt
and maybe this. (just in case, I am growing in the outdoors after all)
http://www.growannex.com/pest-and-disease-control/doktor-doom-16oz-spider-mite-knock-out
Does anyonehave experience with this doktor doom mite knock out? I've heard good things but I'm still not sure.
OR I might just go with the 3 in 1 safer.
I'll upload pics when I get back.
Happy Growing :)
