12/12 Day 39

All is well besides the problem in picture 1.

Picture 1

This is only occuring on 2 colas out and few fan leaves on one plant out of six.
Do you guys think this is calcium deficiency or is it a pH problem.
I did poke some sticks to support the colas, a lot more sticks than I intended on using. I am pretty sure I damaged the roots.
What do you fellows reckon is the most likely reason?

Not familiar with that issue. sorry. your pics are gret. You could probably use that camera to check your trichromes!

No worries mate, if there is a problem with my plants, i attack the problem like a bat outta hell.

I am very hopeful that the problem will be resolved soon, or at least not get any worse.

Yeah I could definitely check the trichromes via my camera, but my camera still isn't that great.

I will post some high resolution pix and let all my buddies like you on the forum give me input on harvest time.

I am definitely aiming for a decent amount of amber trichromes, at least 30% or more. As I think that will be better for pain relief.

Over the next two weeks they will go BOOM! :D.... Stay consistent with the Micro, and give them a WAVE, or swelling of the Macro nutes, and they will go BOOOOOM! ;)...... lovely thus far.... they want micro nutes, and are you keeping a weathered eye on nighttime or lights off temps?

Oh and I am guessing on Great Weights from the HG (2+ zips per?), and moderate weights from the OG (a zip);)...... hard to tell cuz there wasn't base shot with the update showing the main stems sparating out......

that HG is a Keeper, a strait Running strain with the phenos to boot, sure do hope you got a mother or more seeds of it to pop and make a mother....... its well worth it! Amazing...... makes me want to grow it....... what breeder again? (baked ;) )

Thanks a lot bro for your input.

I do have a mother for HG. Unless the Potency turns out to be good, I doubt I will keep it. Since the primary reason I am growing is pain relief. With that kind of yield I really hop it will be potent.

Green House Seeds are the only one that ever offered HG as far as I remember.

When HG is growing next to OG, besides the size the HG doesn't look as amazing as OG.

I have my finger crossed on HG's potency. If i don't fuck anything up no doubt the OG will be potent and dense as hell.

Oh as far as micros, i am gonna pick up some "great white" and I have some bushmaster, which i will add at a very low dose for 7-10 days.

If I am aiming for 50% amber, and want to flush for 7 days with clearex.

At what percentage amber do I start the flush at?

sounds good :).....

25% amber.... once they start turning amber, they go pretty quick..... its hard to say for sure........ but about 20-25%...... I chop mine at 20-30% amber 60-70% milky, 10% clear

for some strains....... some strains will just keep throwing out new pistils, or some white strains have phenos where the pistils don't change until right before the plant dies..... some strains will foxtail out really far and sparse up termed "larfy", and I don't like for that to happen, but it is a sign of readiness, I wait for the trichomes to be in my range, for at least 85-90% of the Calyxes to be swollen to maximum potential (this is typically matched by pistil degradation), they kind of just say "Im done" ........ I could have easily given the Twilight I grew and the Maui Skunk a few more days, but that would have been too much couch lock, and I smoked a bowl of the Twilight yesterday and passed out....... so..... to each there own ;)

Thanks Dragon for explaining. So I will tell you guys what I am looking for and I will continue to post some good high res shots so I can receive input along the way to see if they are where I want to be.

Pain Relief is the #1 requirement without too much of a couch lock effect. So I am thinking I want the girls chopped between 50-60% amber trichromes.

Every ones help was is and always will be appreciated. Cheers :peace:

gave it a quick read, know i definitely want to get a little microscope or magnifying glass.

What is the best thing I could get view my girls as closely as in the picture below. What is the best thing I can get for that under 30 dollars US.

Are their any cheap ways to use a little microscope or a magnifying glass along with a decent 8MP camera to take some close ups.

you prob can get macro shots that will give you good trich shots, your camera will have a setting for it. But you will need a tripod or something to hold the camera steady at such close focus. Have a play around though and see what you can come with by hand. It's easier to do on a desk once you have chopped the plants though.

You can get little 30, 60 or 100X hand held microscopes very cheap. I have a really small hand held 100x magnifier with an LED. I just snip a little bud leaf off and take a real close look under the scope. I've had it ages, so don't remember how much it cost. Wasn't much though. Prob about 20-30 dollars I reckon. eBay is your friend. LOL

yeah, I had a look man, no idea I'm afraid. Could be any number of things. Only on the one plant is it?

I only have experience in coco with canna nutes, followed their exact feeding scheduled for 'normal feeding' and my plants seem to want for nothing. The only addition I made was the top shooter towards the end and I had to add cal-mag throughout as I was using rain water. You're not using canna nutes are you?

My first guess would be P or K deficeincy, or maybe more micro nutrients. It could be lock out from too much buildup of certain nutes. Like I said, I'm just guessing. If it's just one plant, I'd wouldn't worry about it too much.

Did you flush and test run off.... it is the only way to know what is going on in your pots.

You didn't spill any nutes on the plant at all did you that could of got burnt under the light?....that's my only other thought.

alright Fella! well its hard to tell with the hps on maybe if you can take a snap when the lights are out ( dont worry they wont turn herm ;) )

looks like nute burn to me, rust spots usually mean burn especially if the rest of the leaves are still pretty green n healthy. i could be wrong. but at this stage of your grow i wouldn't be too concerned.

and as for them kicking off the last 3 weeks dont fear they will. what are you using as booster?

Thanks Don, I am really starting to think this happened because of all the poking I did in the pots. I am positive a damaged some roots.

I am using Bud Boost and Sumo PK by dutch-glory.com.

Once I finish the sumo PK i might try another booster for the second last week to put another layer of bud on.
