If I moved to California, would my medicade pay for medical marijuana or not. I had major back surgery a few years back so I am always in pain. I need to know if there is medicade in Cali, or something like medicade. And if so than please let me know what part of Cali would be the easiest place to get it.

there is "MediCal" and they cover up 250 dollars a month for your mmj meds. you send in your receipts and get reimbursed at the end of the month.

+rep man I really appreciate it, I have been having problems with my spine most of my life and I am suffering, I dont take any narcotics because they make me feel bad and I am allergic to all codine narcotics. Marijuana is the only thing that brightens my day and I live in a state where MJ is illegal, not only illegal but I live in SC where the MJ laws are strictest so I could go to prison for 10-15 years for 1 plant. I am tired of living in fear of prison just for growing a plant that makes my life feel more like life.

Yeah, man, come on out. I can't afford to go to the fucking dentist or get glasses because my employer can't afford better benefits because we're in a fucking recession. But the government still takes a third of what I make, so yeah, come grab your share of my third because it isn't doing me any fucking good.

there was a phone number the clubs were giving out about a year or so ago. you had to call sacramento to get the paperwork set to you. from what i remember. :peace:

It's going to depend on the county you move to in California. Not all counties are weed friendly. And I am on medi-cal and they don't pay anything for my mmj needs, they could care less about it. You've got to go to MediCann (or similar medical marijuana rec office), it's 125 buxx to get the recommendation and the card for the first year, 95 buxx for the second year renewal, and the renewal cost keeps going down each year. When you've got your rec, then you're free to buy from dispensaries in your area (mostly SF, LA, Sacramento, Humboldt areas) or grow your own. Now, I used to work at a bail bonds office, and lemme tell ya - just cause you have a card doesn't mean they can't arrest you. They can and they will if you make yourself obvious, regardless of your mj card. This is from direct experience. Not heresay.
If you want to move here for the medical marijuana, look online for California dispensaries, and try to move to an area close to them. Otherwise, in areas where there are no 'storefront' dispensaries, you will have to get your medical mj delivered, and pay much higher prices per oz. I'd say - move to Humboldt!! Everything you want is there.

you are mistaken. medicann even gives medi-cal patients a discount. :eyesmoke: ... http://thegreencross.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=198

"In short, patients CANNOT submit a bill to MediCal for costs of medicine purchased at a dispensary, but they can bill for cultivation costs charged by a caregiver.
