Look at the spec sheet. The Mean Wells usually put out a little more but the ends of the pot adjustment (on a -1400 model) is 910 ~ 1400mA.
It sounds like you're complusive so you can use the multimeter method but you're not gaining anything. I'd caution against a newbie doing that with something like an HLG-320 (lethal power).
The Killawatt method is certainly more accurate than cranking the pot all the way up or down.
